Leave him alone.
The club sacked him, he didn't walk out like Aaron Hamill did!
He was a great footballer! I will miss him!
Can we stop portraying Fevola as a victim and a martyr for die hards with an axe to grind?

Everything that happened to Fev was entirely his fault and of his own making.

The culture argument doesn't wash with me.

The club should always come first ahead of players.

]Why the hell would you guys boo him he didnt leave the club on his own terms[/B].. Do your supporters have a clue?.. You should be dissapointed for his actions but not boo him.. Silence would be a more appropriate reaction.. If he played up and gave the crowd pleanty then yea sure boo him..
See above.

Kthxbai to your own board and discuss Laurence Angwin...

Simple Fevola woes was from his own making, silent treatment is the best in this case. Sad thing is he was not really punished but the the supporters and club was. He still gets to play football, still on a hefty pay packet, sun , surf and sunshine. As far as i am concerned Fevola is history, look forward to the new era without him.

I love in the interview he said "should have moved up sooner"
We should have fired him sooner more like it
Not sure if Fevola even knows what he's saying half of the time...

Fevola pleaded with Pies before Lions roared
"I wanted to go to the Pies but Eddie couldn't get a deal done. I don't think the Blues wanted to deal with the Pies.

"It would have been nice to stay in Melbourne but that's the beauty of our game - it's a national game and you can go anywhere."
Fevola pleaded with Pies before Lions roared

Fev, please let your manager do all your talking for you.

In a similar way to why my nephew Boos Cousins.
He had Cuz's number proudly on the back of his WC jumper and was gutted that he Cuz let him down.
I MIGHT boo Fev for the broken hearted kids that even bought his bloody book for god's good sake. To the kids that idolised him and were always "Big Fev" or "Fevalinko" in the backyard kicking the ball around.
It is the kids I boo for
DON'T EVER FORGET THE KIDDIES
Our nieces and nephews are unhappy with Carlton for dumping him.

Once again, he didn't want to leave - that was the point of his statement...

Do you actually read these articles or just pretend he said something else so that it suits you better?

His comment was that there was no antipathy between him and his ex-team-mates and that the decision was made at board level.

Now, a drunk, yes he is. And yes, he may have a low IQ. He's a footy player for crying out loud. But want to leave Carlton, no he didn't - for the 4000 billionth time, and I challenge you to find any reputable source to the contrary.

the question posed was by a poster "why would you boo Fev"
I responded with a reason why.
So what article you refer to I am stuffed if I know.
Whether he wanted to leave or not I could not care less. If he loved Carlton so much he would have pulled his head in a long time prior to that Brownlow night.
So challenge me all you like I am so happy he is not disgracing our club any more and I do not think any player for any other team deserves to be discussed on the carlton Board!

Guns, you make it look pretty straight forward, and I reckon it is.

A more than valid reason to boo him is simply because he put himself before the club.

If you cannot see that that is what he did, well...

Perhaps you should hang around the Lions' board and protest his innocence and harsh treatment.

apparently you need at least 4 billion written reference before you can post an opinion here and be able to add the link to each and every one

Let's all get over it, okay? He has gone. He is no longer part of the Carlton Football Club. Whether you agree with his sacking or not is irrelevant.

If it makes you feel better to boo him then go ahead!

If you really want to keep on posting threads about Fevola then the Brisbane board would be a better option.

I am over it. I am over Fevola. He now wears a different jumper. He no longer belongs on this board.

Thought the whole thing was interesting. It really was a tabloid media frenzy. They basically wrote the script on how they wanted the day to unfold, and when it didn't happen, they just made things up like tabloid journo's do.

Fev himself looked a bit nervous. Gave some weird answers to questions. Ratten was determined to not even mention his name in the post-match pressor, despite the tabloid journo's firing Fev only questions at him. One of the tabloid journo's thought Hampson was playing on Fev. The whole thing was quite hilarious.

The real story of the day was how the Blues young forwardline outshone the Lions forwardline. But of course the media weren't too interested in that.

Fev doesn't look especially fit either. No where near as big as he was last year. With more than 1/2 of the forward 50 delivery going to Brown, and a weaker midfield, and a list over-loaded with retreads, I can't see him getting anywhere near 90 goals in 2010.

The best news of the day was Hendo, and the continuing improvement of Yarran.

:)
