Sorry to burst in fellas, but I've heard an interesting rumour this morning. It's probably about 5th hand news, and I'm always sceptical of stuff like that (even though it's fun to play hypotheticals!), but according to the rumour Jarrad McVeigh is saying that Fev has signed for Sydney from 2009.

If that was true what would your thoughts be on that and what would it mean for Bazza?

I would love for Fev to be a Swan and don't think it would spell the end for Baz (Playfair on the other hand....).

I really, really don't want to trade our top pick this year and I am not sure what we could give up to Cartlon to satisfy them.

He cannot have signed. It is against AFL regulations.
You could still commit. I suppose the most obvious conclusion to draw from this is that Fev wants this kind of rumour to get out so that Carlton give in to him, which would be a dangerous ploy at this stage of the game he's playing. I can't even tell whose bluffing anymore.

Please lets not get angry about a West Coker trolling!

It makes the board BETTER!:thumbsu::D

West Coker Ill-e-girl Toasters!!!! rrrr a DISGRACE!!!!

Would the AFL allow a loose canon like FEV to sail West.... Nah!!!!

I have thought deeply about this and ... SWANS do not need another part time sometimes champ!

McVeigh only knows what he has for breakfast because someone else reads the packet for him and collects the cartoon plastic men 4 his hero collection!

For you McHack fans ... he has done super well in 08.:thumbsu:... but not the quality yet we need in midfield.... 7 + games left to definite his career .... good luck... or get goin'!

Yeah mate whatever, I support West Coast so I must be trolling. I just brought it up here because it's relevant to Sydney, and I was asking what Swans fans would think about it if it actually happened, so thanks for the chipper response.

I heard it from my mate who is a bookmaker. I (as I'm sure the rest of you do too) know to take all this stuff with a grain of salt, even when it seems half credible, but the guy does know some people. As I said, the real purpose was to scope out what Swans fans would think about it.

Don't worry Mr C, not all Swans supporters sh*t themselves when they see someone from another team posting on here. Cheers.

I don't see why that's funny. Admittedly I haven't been on these boards for very long, but I have noticed a few things in my time here. One is that some people are way too combative and read too far into things, like who someone supports for example. I love having a bet on most games so I keep an eye on the ins-and-outs of each team.

There's no bitterness from me about losing Judd to you guys. Wasn't ideal but he gave us some great years. You'd think if I was trying to blow smoke up your bum I'd actually do it in the Carlton forum and not here.

Anyway, the bloke who was prattling on about this whole Fev thing at work today seems to think that Carlton would let Fev go to secure Brown. Probably a decent trade for you blokes if you've got something they want.

Anyway, the Swannies blokes will want to talk about Sydney, so here's another question: why on God's green Earth would Sydney even contemplate another Nick Davis?

My thoughts are not likely to be representative but get your drift anyway? (spose that is why we have "discussion" boards!)

My intitial reaction was it it a ... A blatant "beat up"
2nd was : Sheet we have a history of turning around loonies and especially if they are game winning forwards ! Maybe it is true:eek:
3rd: How good is he really?....... easy answer:eek:
4th: Would any side in the league model themselves around B Fevola????

....

by about thought 101, I had a sympathetic thought 4 U and Fev

Thanks and "come back again... ya hear!!!!???.... but take but your boots off!":D

Roosey said it off the bat: "FEV ... ought sign wiv Carlton"!

Won't be believing any of these rumours as Roos came out and denied it. Fevola's committed to Carlton too, so I don't really see it happening.

But if he does come, at least Playfair will be out :D:thumbsu:

i'm still certain fevola will not be going anywhere
as much as this rumour persists, he keeps saying in public that he'll stay a blue

Thanks for posting Mr Casson, I appreciate all posters from other boards who are interested in the Swans :thumbsu:

I read an article today about Carlton getting annoyed with Fev not re-signing yet, and they are likely to leave any contract negotiations with him until the end of the season. Further to this, they will be withdrawing their previous offer. So it does add more fuel to the fire, but I won't be believing anything until the papers are signed and Roos gets on the phone to say, "Welcome to Sydney Fev!" :D

Why would Fev want to come to Sydney. Our players are fairly low key and the Fev would not like that.He loves the publicity he gets in Melbourne and I would be very surprised if he walked away from it.He's everyone's mate down here.

I just hope all these Sydney link rumours don't equate Fev having a blinder. Getting nervous as time creeps closer please please please Fev give away fifties grab Leo's head and shake hard.
