and of course Cam Mooneys a horrible player
But a lot of pundits would have you believe he is ...

My point with CM is its not about who kicks the goals ... its about the work off the ball , bringing team-mates into the game , embodying the team ethos . Sure he has his brain farts as well but thats the way Cam rolls , he is so focused and hyper competetive he is bound to cross the line at times , but in good way

Give me a Cam mooney anyday over that buffoon Fevola .

was an advocate of getting him 3 years ago....but that was 3 years before now.....a definite no....the dip stick is on this "i wanna be like sam newman" trip...but what he fails to understand...since he definetely has shit for brains is that the fossil is 60+ and is making hay while the sun is still shining...and let his footy...or as much of it that mattered, since he was part of the "handbag dynasty", do the talking when he was playing.
Classic case of brainless morons that think that they are "media personalities". ;)

Could Fevola Fit in at richmond?

I thought if i was going to ask that question there would be no better place than here.
1. Could we afford him
2. Can we afford to take the risk on him
3. Is there room for him in our forward line
4. What would you give up for him

For me personally
1. No idea about the money side of things but i would of thought it would be a little tight
2. I believe that he will get a huge reality check over this and could play his best football after it.
3. This one is interesting. Im not sure how richos legs are but i would of thought he would be more up forward than on the wing this year. But it would be nice to have Fev leading...Richo in the goal square Revolt (sp) center half
4. It probally depends on what carlton wants. If they are rebuilding then you dont really want to give up those early picks. But from what ive heard...it isnt the best draft this year. maybe he would be worth a early pick if there isnt much talent in there

Re: Could Fevola Fit in at richmond?

carlton would want our pick 3......... no way should we get rid of our first pick

Still may end up staying. If they can't find a suitable trade for him, he will stay. I suspect this is a smokescreen.
You would expect the Dogs to go all out now.
We should steer well clear.

The hilarious thing about all this is that poor old Fev is being traded because he offended Judd the big homo.

I would have expected Judd to just put a horse head in his bed...but this whole "trade bait" thing is hilarious.

Can you List the Pros and Cons for those saying we shouldnt go after him

Pros: He can take a mark and kick goals.

Cons:
He's a ********.
He's a drunkard.
He's a problem gambler.
He's a constant publicity problem for sponsors and clubs.
He harassed a girl at Crown last week after Alex the missus went home.
Bryce Gibbs partner left the Crown in tears because of Fev allegedly. Related to the above? Not sure.
His defensive works is poor at best unless he's working towards a personal goal.
He's 28 which means he's beyond the age we should be looking at considering Carlton will want quite a bit for him.

There are probably more but that's quite enough off the top of my head.

This is just a ruse to appease those who want to see him punished.

Carlton will demand two first rounders or something similar and when they don't get it they will make all the right noises about how they did all they could to get rid of him but couldn't.

If they had balls (but no common sense) they would sack him, not just 'offer him up for trade'.

He'll be back at Carlton next year and everyone at the club will pretend that they really did want him gone. The reality is they know he's a goose but can't afford not to have him playing.

Is this thread serious? Fev is 28 going on 29.He isn't in our age frame for succes, he would aslo cost and arm and a leg and I would rather be saving salary cap space for re-signing cotchin and co. when the gold coast and west sydney make massive player raids. And what would we give up to get him? Richmond people need to calm down. Gone are the days where we chase big names for the sake of it. Our time will come in the draft.

Well look at it. They talk about Fevs problems and the history he has with it. So he belted a guy in ireland. Not in the home and away season. He has been photographed twice holding a dildo on mad monday.....its mad monday. I pissed on a resturaunt window....our ex caption not that long ago pissed on the cop station. And he got smashed at the brownlow.

Now on the other side of the coin....How many goals has he kicked in lets say the last 6 seasons. And the blues havent been a powerhouse team in the last 6 seasons. On the field...he has been pretty good really. So if you can keep him off the piss.....well he could do anything for us. And i believe he will pull his head in after this scrunity he has got in the last two weeks

Carlton would want our pick 3 or heaven forbid,Cotchin.

Fevola aint for us.

It does however mean that Barry Hall may need to reconsider his shift to the science of boxing with The Doggies being a possible new home for The Fev. (I don't believe the Hawthorn/St Kilda stuff)
Dogs could sling Carlton Everitt & their first rounder but it still will probably not be enough for The Blues who in reality might just be publically shaming the big doofus for the baying mob... you never know though.

On a side note...

The funniest thing about the whole scandal is seeing our good friends on the Carlton BF board tear each other apart with differing opinions.

Such harmony... The Perils of Princess Park continue! :p

What chance this......

1. Fevola is told at the meeting that he will be PUT UP for trade. Announce to media.
2. At trade week, a few teams want him, Sydney, Dogs, Hawks etc.
3. Carlton demands are ridiculous, they want 2 top 10 picks.
4. Fev is not traded as no team will pay that.
5. Carlton take him back and they appear to have saved face.
6 In 2010 Fev lets loose again..., Carlton refer back to point 1.

Point 1 completed.
Point 2,3 & 4 next week.

Doubt it. Who ever he is traded to will have to pay his $750k a year pay check. Doubt the Doggies could afford it.

No fev for us.

you would want to be close to the top with no full forward.

Halls agreement with doggies is rumoured to be about $450k a season. If the dogs forget the hall deal and set there sights on fev

carlton pay the balance of the $750k - so 300k

And dogs give carlton there 1st round pick and andreas everitt & dylan addison

remember fev is 29 next season = he is no spring chicken in AFL terms.

but the dogs should do this only if they genuinely believe it will mean a GF and they must keep lake as well.

Can't tell you how much this post has made me laugh
