I may have missed something - but have we publically closed the door on Fevola joining the Swans.

He realises that his career is at death's door - no more second chances - so, i wonder if we would take the punt?

I don't think we've publicly 100% closed the door as is the case for most clubs I imagine.

I do recall Longmire being quizzed about the possibility sometime around tradeweek and he didn't sound keen on the idea.

Prior to the trade week I was a very much "for" the drafting of Fev.
After picking up Walsh, I dont see this as nessacery. Let the young kid have a go as he has the ability.

Take a 3 year view.
Imagine what Tommy and Sam could learn playing with a genuine full forward for a year or two. Similar to the Bradshaw approach.

If anything, fev's main issue is that he's an idiot - not a criminal - but facing the end of footy should make him gow up real quick.

I don't think horse shut the idea down utterly when quizzed about it but it was more of a "we'll see how the cards fall" before making their decision.

I think if Walsh was not secured through the draft or trade week fev would have been picked up as insurance for our forward stocks for when ever White doesn't perform.

But now? Probably not.

Dont worry I'm behind that view also, and believe Fevola could be a class asset at any club for a cheap as chips price. But I dont see them doing it now with Walsh, Morton etc into the team.

No point wasting the spot for another foward when we need our younger blokes in there as much as possible to develop and make the role(s) their own.

I agree, Fev pre-Walsh I would have looked at more in a positive light than post-Walsh. But who knows 2bh. Stranger things have happened and I'm sure with or without Fev we'll have a stronger and (hopefully) settled foward line in the next few seasons than was the case this year.

He has as good as shut it down. CBF finding interview.

Fev > Tippet for one year, play for base wage more money to retain our guns.

Fev is a fat country league footballer with behavioural issues who will be 32 in January.

I'm voting pass.

Tippet is one collision away from being a paraplegic, even the slightest of head knocks will result in a minimum of 6 weeks.

I am being a little tongue in cheek about Fev but he will kick goals every week.

If it were up to me I'd vote pass on Tippett as well. :)

Id prefer jack riewoldt next year
But tippett will be good for the club, but was overpaid at adelaide and will be with us
