Bock to CHB and I really wouldn't be devastated to see the back of the other 3.

Agreed. All are no world beaters. Welsh might have a spot though. He'd be taking a 3rd defender and would do well, but Fev and Welsh mgiht not like to be near eaach other as both are lead up forwards.

didnt fev just open up a restaurant or something.. i doubt he'd ever want to move too far from there.

So Wayne Carey owns the Marble Bar in Adelaide and he lives in Melbourne – no big deal.

I'd definitely want Fev.

Wouldn't go throwing everything at him though.

The Meesen + First Rounder sounds good to me.

If Carlton dont want it, fine, we wont have Fev.

Sorry to interrupt the drooling but I just can't see someone like Fevola wanting to move to Adelaide (remember Sav Rocca?). Let's just say hypothetically he does move to Adelaide and doesn't really like the place. You can be sure he'll make it known on the field with a not-so-subtle 4-quarter sulk.

Take him in a heart beat, get him away from the 'Carlton Culture' sort him out and he will star, with his antics I dont think his price would be too high either, come alot cheaper than Pavlich:thumbsu:

If we offer next to nothing then we are out of the bargaining process. A solid first up offer would show to Carlton that we are serious players, which I think we should be.

We won't be the only ones trying to trade for him if we do indeed chase him.

most sensible post so far. if carlton does decide to offload him there'll be an absolute feeding frenzy.. probably similar to when carey became available. adelaide isn't the only club in need of a key forward - how about collingwood, western bulldogs or west coast?
imo we should go for him if he's available because he's in his prime and a proven goalkicker... and that's what we need.
but just because mike sheahan says he'd be a good fit with the crows doesn't mean it's fait accompli.

there is a big difference wth fev compared to those two

fev is only 26, both ronnie and duck were in their 30's when we signed them..

fev has still got between 5 and 8 years left in him (maybe 10?)

EDIT : damn you kitch!! :)

Correct he has palyed forward so his body has not taken a beating like a midfeild type player, the AFC IMO need to make a huge play for him, will come alot cheaper than Pavlich and in the long term will get more years out of Fevola also.

Meeson + our first round pick to start with:thumbsu:

Delisting have to be Jericho, Welsh and Perrie clean out the dud forwards base it around Hentschel, I would keep McGregor as he can play both forward and back so is more verstile than Welsh or Jericho, Perrie will be unlucky maybe could be used as trade bait for Pavlich if the AFC wanted to make a play for him.

Im alot keener on Fev than Pav as the Pav deal could well cost us Van Berlo and Im not prepared to let the future AFC captain go.

If Fevola does become available we must go for him. He is the type of player Adelaide desperately need and we should be willing to make a big play for him.

The idea of Meesen and a pick is a fair one and I agree he will be a lot cheaper than Pavlich. If it works out that he leaves Carlton we must make a massive play for him.

Yes yes yes.

Get him.

Being out of Melbourne could be just what he needs.

Pavlich 1st target, Fev if not.

We have to get one or the other...please!!
What the gun said!

Pavlich first for obvious reasons, if that doesn't work out, go for Fevola.

A change is as good as a holiday and at different club, with a different culture and professional approach, with players to keep him in check, you sure as hell make a play for him. He is a fine footballer and would instantly make us MUCH MUCH more potent.

Im having trouble making my mind on this issue. On one hand of course id love to have a match winning forward. On the other, i dont particularly like the policy of trading for high priced trouble makers, it seems to unsettle clubs, for instance Everitt to Sydney and Tarrant to Freo.
But on the flipside, you also can point to Lockett and Hall to Sydney ;)

It depends entirely on the club they go to and the situation.

Tarrant to Freo is completely different IMO.

He's no gun forward as Fev and Pav are. He's an overhyped Ian Perrie, I've said that for a long time. Collingwood robbed them blind as did Richmond.

Couldnt see anything happening with you guys for two main reasons:

1) As a few have suggested, enticing Fevola to Adelaide would be a mammoth task. Not an issue of the club, but rather an issue of the state. I think its fair to say Fevola would much prefer a more exciting environment (no offense)

2) Adelaide simply wouldnt be able to satisfy our demands. The Crows just dont have the picks, nor the players to extract a deal Carlton would be happy with. Call it the downside of being a successful club for a number of years, but our focus is firmly on quality players aged <24 and/or high picks. Adelaide are in short stock of the second and need the ones you do have of the first.

To me hes someone that will always be a negative influence. He was supposed to be a changed man, off the grog etc. Then he cheats on his wife with Australias most famous bike and beats up a barman.

Hes also someone that in my opinion needs pin point accuracy to have an influence on the result. Very much a mark, kick, goal player. Given the consensus from yesterday, I dont think the Crows have the midfield accuracy to make him a regular influence.

I dunno. I think anyone that takes him on would just be flirting with danger. I cant see what Neil Craig would want to give up for him either.
