I would think Richards is a good start as Cloke and Ackland don't really cut the mustard in the long term. The Blues would be probably be asking for a 2nd rounder plus another reasonably young player with development left in them on top of that. I'm not sure which part Sydney will play although I have heard Amon Buchanan is in the mix.
 
where do you hear this stuff... last time i heard Clarke was the irish judd, he is more like the irish jesus

if the price is too much, not wanting fevola is fair enough

but if it comes cheaply, you have to be kidding youselves if you don't want fevola, he is a coleman medalist and he can kick goals, and he doesn't kick more behinds then goals, if carlton are desperate to get rid of him and thats a big if, we should take him
 
reids debut was most impressive. I say let him get confidence through more senior games, and he'll be bigger then fev..

fev comes with trades that really we cant afford to make.. plus he hasnt got as brighter future then what reid portrays.

I was very impressed; big step from his first game at Williamstown.

I have only just gotten wind of the developments surrounding the trade and thought better discussion would be created by first posting the topic on the Collingwood board.

For those Carlton fans who have not yet seen this thread I will satisfy you by posting it in the Carlton board.

It's not about the Blues being desperate to keep him, rather him being desperate to leave the Blues. No club would be desperate to offload their number one player. Apparantly Fev believes his time with the Blues is up and he would prefer to continue his career with the Pies. Sad as it may be if true, Carlton should be trying to get as much as they can for him while they're still able to.

If we continues to play well this year & make finals then Fevola will easily be worth whatever 1st round pick we get plus maybe one of the less touted youngsters.

As for Reid, nice debut but it was only one game & surely he is several years away from being up to Fev's quality. Furthermore I think Reid possibly has more strings to his bow that just being a lead up FF.

Agreed. Carlton would settle for no less if they had their own way, which I am hoping they will.
 
ive seen fev outside the lexus centre cpl times getting a cab!
