Fevola alert!

This is all very interesting but i fail to see why fevola would want to come to an extremly high profile club like Collingwood when everything you do is looked at with scrutiny.

On the other hand i would take him but i wouldn't want to give up ANY of our kids except maybe danny nichols (dont know correct spelling).

Why was he suspended?

It would be an understatement to say he's not fond of the limelight.

I believe the club is fed up with his continual indiscretions, an unfortunate situation as his value to the club is beyond consideration.

only a fickle minded bunch would believe such nonsense. And as for whoever said we wouldnt want him:thumbsd: you obviously battle to comprehend the game of football.

Didak Fevola Davis
Cloke Rocca Buckey

One word - PWNED!

Don't see it happening unfortunately, we would have to give up an arm and a leg to get Fev, and TBH KP forwards aren't exactly where we are short of depth atm...

I'd much rather we trade or draft for a dominant ruckman. Imagine how good we will be in the future with a genuine tap ruckman putting the ball down the throats of Pendles, Thomas and Clarke, enabling them to pinpoint the ball to Clokey, Reid and Dawes on the lead in one single passage of play!

you would have to be kidding! richards played extremely well tonight. and we need rucks not erratic forwards.

How do you know reid cant kick?! its his first game and he is the youngest player in the AFL ffs!
CLoke is also young and despit his poor kicking in close i would still rate him in the top CHFs allready!

Richards is my least favourite player at Collingwood but I've gotta admit I thought it was his best game for awhile. If he was traded in part of a deal I wouldn't miss him but rather than just say trade him can anyone suggest a replacement? From the draft or poaching from another club? .... we just got rid of a heap of talls last year and although they were crap at least we had the safety of a make shift ruck if we needed one. IMO we need a 200+ tall to be competive and we only have Josh and Richards past that height.

I saw Ben Reid down at training kicking for goal with a support coach when he first arrived at the club. The kid CAN kick make no mistake. Would have loved his first kick in seniors to be a goal hey all things don't start with fairy tales. It was his first game for goodness sake for all those armchair experts that love to make quick judgements... let him settle.

re: Fev. All clubs would be looking at him and would stupid not to. If he is wanting to come to Collingwood though then it ironically might turn into another Nick Stevens episode. But this time we aint so desperate.
I think Fev is the biggest knuckle head on and off field .... and even more so on TV but would I take him? Hell yes! But there would be conditions .... (1) No more TV like the footy show. We don't need a knuckle head like that on TV "flying" the Collingwood flag. (2) No drinking during the season. Fev was awesome last year off the booze and his major F-UP in Irealand was in the off season and he was drinking. (3) On field attitude has to be overhauled and made aware he's won't be anything more at Collingwood than a team player. We don't need his ego getting in the way and him thinking me might have a chance at becoming captain. (4) Repeat points 1-3 a billion times over and then it's a starting point.

whether or not he ends up at collingwood is debateable but there is an interesting aticle on the herald sun website.

So anyway his contract doesn't run out this year - serious trading required. REally is more needed at the other clubs mentioned but if he wants the woods he'd certainly add something. I could imagine sydney or Adelaide being able to settle him down better though, and Eddie might try to impose "onerous conditions" on Fevola also.

Another problem with swapping for Didak is that with their amount of young talent, he might help Blues win a flag in a couple of years which would be a big no-no! Hell they might even beat us in a grandie with Didak starring, magpie supporter's worst nightmare.

I think other clubs have more need for him than us - Bulldogs for example still rely on Johnson Grant and Darcy to kick goals. Port may need somebody to replace Tredrea. Sydney could use a key forward to help Hall and replace O'Loughlin. Brisbane need a key forward in case Bradshaw's knee injuries restrict him long term. Melbourne would kill for Fevola.

We have a future forward line already, albeit unproven. I'd offer Rusling and Lonie for Fevola, but that would not be a bid likely to win his services.

So would I but that wont happen. You dont get the current Coleman medallist without giving up something.

Depends how desperate Carlton are to offload him and who has cap room to squeeze him in.

If the cards fall well for us we could add him tot he list without losing anything too drastic.

Melbourne Sydney Port Adelaide Adelaide Bulldogs Brisbane and North would all kill for a key forward. I find it unlikely that we'd outbid them all with Lonie and a second round draft pick.

I agree. I wasn't saying it's probably, just that it's possible.

It all comes down to the price fev puts on his head and who has the cap space to allow for it.

if we win the grandfinal and get pick 16, would anyone else give up say lonie, rusling and our first round pick?

Not Rusling, i will probably get shut down for this but considering Carltons lack of defence maybe we could give up someone like Nathan Brown. I havn't seen him play but from what i hear he hasn't lived up to expectations.

Nathan Brown has been great in recent weeks. He has been good all year but as a key defender he has been slow to come out of his shell and get more of the ball, now he has gained confidence, beating his man as well as getting 18 disposals in each of his last 2 games. He beat Hawkins last week and got 18 touches on him.

Then what i said didn't really make much sense then did it? but in what area on the field do we have alot of players that we can probably downsize?

Not key backs IMO.

Brown, Anthony and perhaps Maxwell are the only 3. Cox will be a utility (who could well play CHB though) and Goldsack will be a Clement type player IMO. We need a Presti/Wakelin replacement. Brown in particular best fits that description. Maxwell may well be trade bait.

Key forwards however
Reid
Cloke
Rocca
Rusling
Dawes
Fraser - sorta

I was thinking that we have a lot of forwards but in my opinion if Fevola did want to come to Collingwood we should take him. I would rather have to many and allow for injuries than just enough and if one gets injured we get buggered. And fev can kick straight that could be helpfull. How old is Rocca?
