Fevola has signed at close to $3m over 3 years.

To be announced in the coming days. Have from an EXTREMELY reliable source. :thumbsu: I never come on here and say these sort of things, so i have no reason to come here and bullsh*t to you guys.

An upside to a somewhat terrible night.

*sigh*

Not that I question your integrity (surely an ERS is better than a VRS?), but I'm over all these contract talks. Listening to Sticks on MMM, definitely didn't sound like the Fev contract was done and dusted. When it's confirmed, it's confirmed, until then, I'll take everything said with a sackful of salt.

I'm with you completely, how i've been feeling the past few weeks, and i'm never ever one to make up crap, so i hope i'm not dug into. But grains of salt are the best way to go until its confirmed.

for his current output, WAY TOO MUCH:mad:

I agree its far too much, especially after tonight's disgraceful performance. Single-handedly turned the game according to ratts.

I have been big on disposing of Fevola in recent pre-seasons because of his discipline, I agree with Rats on what happened tonight. Anyone who has played footy knows its all between the head most of the time. He hasn't got the mental capacity to earn anywhere near that money. Hudgton did it beautifully sucked him in, what happens? Reverses a kick, MOMENTUM changes and Kosi gets his confidence up by taking a big pack mark, because of the F@#kwit giving away a fifty as well. After that Kosi who had been having an average season turns it on taking several marks.
Confidence is huge in footy and if you get your hands on the ball early it grows a quality player like Kosi only needs a little to get going. What happens if Fisher kicks the ball instead of he reversal, Kosi doesnt get that opportunity, and we have an opportunity on goal.

Fair dinkum Fev, grow the Fu#k up or Fu#k off. Bucks said it at the end of the game when Fev was hugging a Saint opponent, your team has just lost, Judd busted a gut and this guys having fun, after he was the main instigator of the loss and a possible chance of finals.

yeah saw that at the end of the game and made my blood boil it was also noted on fox sports news.he never puts in 100% against the saints and frankly if he has signed thats good but if he hasn't give him to next friday to sign or start making plans to get the best deal for cfc.you either want to play for carlton football club or you don't.Look at judd he came becuase he saw something in our list and wants to be part of the resurgence. he gets paid well yes but would have got the money were ever he went anyway.

No way Fev would get a million a year, just ridiculous.

If he wants that much money I'd trade him, not worth that kind of money by a longshot.

I heard Jack Elliot (and he'd be a pretty reliable source) mention last night that:

Sydney have offered Fevola 750k per year for 4 years - which equalls 3 mill.

Fevola's Management from Carlton want a 3 year deal - consisting of:

1st Year - $800k
2nd " - $600k
3rd " - $600k

whereas Swann and Icke are happy to meet those terms - only wit the following adjustments:

1st Year - $600k
2nd " - $600k
3rd " - $800k (halved with the veterans list at this stage).

That sounds about right.

The amount that comes off from the veterans list is irrelevant - it is averaged over the life of the contract. In the scenario above, the veterans list amount in year 3 would be the same.

Backdating it might give us more cap flexibiliity, however, particularly if we have front-loaded Judd's contract
