Fev is a gun, but stop trying to compare him to Lloyd, he just isn't as good as Lloyd was in his prime. Just like when some Essendon supporters try and compare Lloyd to Dunstall, it's just stupid.

Can I just point out that winning the Coleman from a bottom team isn't really that fantastic when you think about it. Obviously Fevola is going to kick more goals in a struggling team - the "better" teams have more avenues for goal.

It is difficult to compare them at this time because they're at different stages of their careers.

Lloyd is going to go down in history as one of the great FFs. We'll have to wait and see what Fevola achieves in the years to come (because when his head is switched on he's a great player) but at this time he's definitely not in the same class. He may very well get there but he's not there just yet.

remember there has been the fattest and crappiest captain in the afl in lance whitnall, and he has been kicking goals for a long time.
carlton has had other avenues to goal therefore.
needless to say to do so in a wooden spoon side is an amzing feat, but u hit the nail right on the head, fev when his mind is on the job is great, extraordinary at times.
ok that said its up to him to stay focussed, loydd has always been mature and responsible, but alot of other fill forwards would have done a greater job then he has had they been at essendon.

is he the sole reason essendon won the flag in 2000, wow what a hero.
did lloydd kick a century in 22 home and away games.
again carlton have played fevola whilst injured, unless ur not up to scratch he was limping against north and adelaide.
not a smart move by the coaching staff to play him but thats another story.
the bomers have lucas leading the goals and ur sharing it around with them both.
2 games less, however watch geelong and carlton, watch scarlett and three defenders constantly man up and triple team fev.
the reason he hasnt done so well, is easy, drop couple defenders back, we are predictable in our efforts in going to our one target.

take for example having the luxury of playing lucas, bewick, mercuri and hird in the forward line 7 years earlier.
it means that ur not stupid enough to throw two or three defenders back leaving other great players all alone.
what that then does is forces the opposition team to play one on one with these guys and enables them to lead out and get alot more ball supply then what a miserable team like carlton has.
