I am only joking in my title up there, i love Fevola and reckon he's a great assett to our team.

THe guy spends so much time doing charity work, he is so friendly and always hangs aroudn to sign stuff, always loves a chat, and undoubtedly loves the Carlton Footy Club.

I'll never forget his public outcry for help on the footyshot this year, calling back some old carlton heads to come and help the club out and help out the young players.

I guess he doesn't have his head screwed on properly in his personal life, but it doesn't make him any less of a great football player. (in the background here, my mum is saying how disgusting he is, to play up and leave behind a 14 month baby).

I look at Carey and Ablett, who have done horrible things in their private lives, and they remain champions of the game, and i dont care what people say, especially all the stuff from opposition supporters, but Fevola is a great footballer and that is why we love him.

Any links to that named individual have not been published in the mainstream media and thus are off limits for BigFooty as they are potentially defamatory. Have just deleted one thread but will leave this and edit it so others will be careful about what they say and how they say it.

Obviously we are going to get bombarded here. 3 threads deleted in the last few minutes. Against my better judgement, I will leave this open for carefully worded opinion if I can be convinced this is any of our business. Tread carefully.
 
It's none of our business. ******** happens. Marriages end all the time.

Let's focus our attention on praying that Fev doesn't go off the rails. We all know how much of an influence Alex had on his career.

I think it's a disgrace what he has done and I have lost a lot of respect for him as a person.

But as long as he plays good football for the Carlton Football Club, me, being a member is what I ultimately want.

Potentially, this could send him to the drink, and consequently, off the rails unfortanately.
 
Yeah that's true BG.

Alex played a big part, but not all of it. Denis and the little girl, Mia, and now Leni - his footy will not get worse.

He's got some good people around him that he will listen to - Denis and some of the boys that he's close to, his football will not suffer.

I just hope those that go to training, show their support to Fev, because really, he is one of our no.1 footballers, and that is why we need to stick by him.

As you said BG marriages end all the time. I just really hope that supporters do what they do best - show their support when it's needed most.
 
Yes but don't forget Fevola is a human being, and from where I stand, he is a caring decent guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, but yeah he has made a few mistakes in his time (who in their youth can honestly say they haven't) but it's easy to condemn Fev for adultery, but look at the crap he's had to deal with, esp after the Irish trip incident.
It was the wrong thing to do, but basically though if us, as people were put in that position, we may go down a similar path or worse.

It's funny how Channel 7 gloss over the love life of one Namoi Robson, and yeah I'm now so grateful for channel 9 for exposing C7's personalities.
Also I do notice that Fevola is a channel 9 personality and a Footy Show regular, so yeah i'm putting 2 and 2 together.

The thing is, we don't know him as a person. We know him as an idol in our team, as a great footballer who has stood up for our team this year. We love him for what he does in the Navy Blue. We do not know him as a person, therefore i dont see why we are losing respect for someone we dont know. We respect him for what he does in the Navy Blue, not what he does in his homelife.

Come on guys. We're supporters of a proud club. He plays well for this club, and he loves the club. Let's just stick by him, and hope to God he doesn't slip, because after all, he's our full-forward and a geniune star in our team.

Get down to training, and just show your support. It's the hard times when people rely on support the most.

Or is it just presumed popular opinion.
I want everyone to remember he has two children in the centre of this and it is irresponsible to bandy around unfounded rumours that can hurt them and even increase his pain.
Before he went to Ireland the club consulted the afl concerning the stressful circumstances he was under, and that he should be supported while away from his comfort zone. These stresses could be his marraige was failing and he knew then that it wasn't going to work, this could cause such a out break in Ireland. Remember then he didn't return home straight away, he spent time by himself and with a friend in Europe.

Some how I think none of us will know the truth unless it comes straight from Fev's mouth and Channel 7 must be careful not to become a tabloid broadcaster.

Fev is a clown and we all know it...not the sharpest tool in the shed!

Hoping this doesnt stop him from kicking 100 goals next season...

She's better off without him. He's going to have to fork out a pretty penny in child support. Also, as others have said, she was apparently a huge factor in Fev doing so well this year. Wonder how he'll go without her support? For you guys I hope it doesn't affect his on-field performance too much as he's a star when on song (unless ofcourse you're playing Essendon, then I hope he has a shocker ;))

Not going to find anything better? Actually, she could find a lot better. Fevola's a dumb ugly goon who can play footy a bit, and that's all.
