if fev moved to another club carlton would still survive, and will move on & develope our next crop of youngsters that will be there for our next flag.

cfc atm has holes in defence & attack sure the kids are coming on but we are short of talent in these 2 areas.
if we could get a first & second round pick for fev, i think we should trade him
this year there apears to be good depth of solid kpp in the draft.
we need to maximise our picks & select kpp.

i believe we are in a very similar position to hawthorn were just before they drafted buddy, roughead.

lets trade fev ,carrazzo , russell, fisher , and maximise our picks.
we need to bring our next generation kpp to our club.

The whole Fevola contract saga has left me feeling rather 'betwixt & between' as to what should happen to Fev. I love watching him play when he is on song (as most of us do). I love his 'in your face' attitude with the opposition players & supporters (his banter with the Richmond cheer squad was quite entertaining). I love the fact that he isn't robotic in his on-field behaviour, he actually expresses himself, which is both good & bad. Certainly he probably fires up our team better than any other player at the club, when he is 'high-fiving' or lifting Eddie off the ground when celebrating another Eddie freak goal.

On the flipside, Fev is putting the club, & all of us supporters, through unnecessary media attention due to him turning his contract negotiations into some sort of 'soap opera', thus giving the media & opposition clubs & supporters plenty of ammunition against our club. I like the fact that Greg Swann has come out & said the offer is on the table & it is up to Fev to decide if he is going to accept it or not. The club should only pay him what they think his value is & if Fev doesn't think it is enough, there may have to be a parting of the ways. It would be sad if it came to this, but the club will always be bigger than the individual.

Fev would be worth a first round draft pick (at least) & would certainly give us the opportunity to trade for a quality player from another club, while still retaining a first round draft pick in what is, from all reports, going to be a strong draft (Kevin Sheehan talked about there being as many as 55 players who would readily come under consideration to be drafted). My personal wish would be to see Fev stay at Carlton, but overall, like all Carlton supporters, I want what is best for our great club & I know Greg Swann & Steven Icke will ensure the right outcome to this saga.
The thing that annoys the shit out of me is coming to terms with the fact that Fev is the one who has generated the Sydney rumours. All to squeeze some extra $$$ out of the club he claims to love.

We cannot build a premiership winning team around players with such selfish intentions.

Your missing the point. The Carlton supporters know poor disposal and skill errors cost them the match. However, are concerned about Fev's attitude last night. For someone who is demanding the big bucks and 27 years of age, you'd expect him to have the heart of an Eddie Betts and put in 100% each game. Anything less, then he becomes a liability to the club as shown last night. He is someone when on-song lifts the whole team and the spirit of the club. How do you expect Carlton to win the crunch games like last night when you see one of your "leaders" acting like that?

The fact that he kicked three goals from limited opportunity is pointless. If you play with that attitude week-in week-out your performances will taper and you become less consistent. There will be somedays where he may be held goalless, however during those games they need Fev tackling, chasing, applying pressure etc. and showing the team he wants to win. That was unacceptable last night any way you look at it.

Many Carlton players would have been hurting after last night-Not Fev. He found the time to joke around and be everyone's best mate once the siren went which was disappointing. To me thats a selfish attitude and not the main reason they play the game. Lets be honest, you would never see Bucks doing that.

Actually I think many supporters have claimed the complete opposite. Fev's attitude while not great was not as appaling as some have made out. It was a bad loss and Fev appeared frustrated at points in the match, maybe more credit needs to be given to the saints defence. The fact he was ble to kick 3 is not pointless, he is carltons leading forward hence his main job is to kick goals. I think actually it is you who is missing the point, especially with some rather prophetic speculation. It is easy to get caught up in the moment. It was an avg game for Fev no doubt but after hearing his comments today especially after aknowledging the poor free its best not to over dramatise his performance in yesterdays match.
