i scored a goal similar to that once
lampard just outside the box going for goal (admittedley i put too much power into it), strikes the top of vidics foot, pops up but has an unbelivable amount of top spin and dips back down over the keeper and goes in. it was just a high arcing ball that came crashing back down, was very weird to watch especially considering gravity seems to be missing with long shots

for those interested this game's only 69 bucks at jb at the moment

flipping great price really

i ALMOST picked it up...but only didn't coz i know i'll never play it coz i'm useless at soccer games and i'm not a HUGE fan or anything

not to mention all you guys on my friends list who play it will give me hidings to the tune of 12-0 etc..

I agree.:D

But anyway, Camo, I was in the same boat as you, I haven't owned a FIFA game since 2001 and have never owned a PES game, and haven't played one for about 3 or so years.

But getting into FIFA is just too damn fun, there is a learning curve, but the difficulty levels are really well worked out, I have become almost addicted to this game, I find myself playing every single day, and am now even wanting to watch EPL and A-League games, even though I have never been an EPL fan and only had a passing interest in the A-League.

I have started a Manager Mode with Accrington. One season in, and my team looks like such:

GK: Fabio (76)
RB: C Murdock (57) RCB: B Ivanovic (80) LCB: L Traore (75) LB: L Richardson (56)
CDM: T Lee (73) RM: Jesus Navas (85) LM: Pallardo (72) CAM:D Hughes (72)
RS: V Montella (76) LS: J Clarke (61)

Bold are the players I've acquired through transfers
Underline are the scouted & signed players
Normal are the original Accrington players

Accrington play in Coca Cola League 2.. the lowest one :D

wow so the players attributes change as their on pitch form changes in real life?

is that a dlc? or does that just happen in the standard game that they continually update it??

I believe it just happens in-game. But I've checked it at certain times and Ronaldo might be 94, check back a day or so later and Kaka is 95, Ronaldo has slid to 92. I've seen it happen. Just get all of them if you can..

wow that's kinda cool

what happens if they get injured??

they don't get removed from the game do they?? that would suck balls and could cripple your team

also it could be annoying trading in ronaldo as an example then he has the biggest form slump of his life and rates 60 after you payed a massive premium price for him

i guess it kinda makes it more lifelike aye!?

You can get what is called Adidas Live Season updates, there are about 5 leagues and you get one for free with the purchase of the game, and the others cost about $8 each and they will update the rosters as the season goes by.

It is a bit pointless though as it will only be a use in offline play(And doesn't update throughout your seasonal modes), as online is either default rosters for Unranked games, and the updated rosters(Whether or not you have the ALS) for Ranked games.

If a player gets injured then there rating goes down, usually to about a 10-12 points(Which is still ok in certain teams), but what is good is that because of the way soccer works, other players get a go and that will lift their rating, so your team is rarely left crippled.

The best example is Didier Drogba, he was hit with injury a few weeks back, and Nikola Anelka replaced him in the real Chelsea side, and he performed really well, so his rating went up about 10-12 points, Anelka was a bench player originally too.

yeh it sounds really cool....but i need to promise myself not to buy it (as i'm becoming a bit of a compulsive buyer) and i know i'm not going to play it

Camo.

I'm not one to complete games, I get pretty bored of them, I do eventually finish them, but shit it takes ages. I haven't finished: SR2, FC2, LBP, Oblivion (if it is actually 'finishable'), Guitar Hero III etc.

But I seriously have not put FIFA down since I bought it a day after it's release. It's playability is just off the scale. You'll like it especially if you aren't a yearly FIFA player, I say this because they omitted a few features this year that has really pissed people off. But yeah, you wont know ne difference.

Buy it:thumbsu:

Too easy though. Need to unlock legendary difficulty. Takes ages but.
To someone who plays all the FIFA's and all the PES's or is a soccer aficionado it may be, but not to someone who hasn't played it either ever or in a long time and doesn't know much about soccer or doesn't follow it.

Yeah true, but in comparison to 08 it is much, much easier IMO.

A much better game though, probably just needs to be a little harder

You've just successfully proved that you have not played the game.

Have I?

Thanks for informing me of what games I have and haven't played..

PS2 version.

PS2 maybe?

1,000th post :D.
It's a gd feeling.:)
