I have been playing Fifa 08 for ages but only recently i have bought a router and started to play online.

Loving online and i think i would be an asset to the team if it goes ahead, i would be the first to put my hand up and agree with ROOSTERLAD that some sort of a trial system should be in place, if it goes ahead.

Hehe I was only joking when I said trial system but it may need to be put in place I guess... depends what numbers we have really. We may have more than a full squad, and of course we would need a fair number of players as we aren't all on at the same time.

I read that you only need about 3 'real' players to have a game, the rest are computer controlled. The more real players and less computer the better though.

We will need some guys in defence, I'm sure you can have different positions though, so some need to be AM/CB or something. As long as people are willing to play some games n defence and help the team out we should be sweet.

Id actually prefer to be in defence, more of the quiet unassuming type gets his job done n goes home...or a marauding wingback swinging in deadly crosses....sagna/evra/ashley cole in nature

Looks pretty good. Would be interested in going in a squad if there is anymore room. Best position is probably winger/striker, even though I'm also an elite defender.

I have no problem being the Manager but it doesn't really bother me. It's awesome we are getting some numbers, as I mentioned before as long as we have a few online we can play games so a decent squad is important.

I'm a PES boy but the online element, and the fact I'm loving the demo, has me pumped for the new FIFA and I will buy this on the first day. This should be awesome.

Yeh i was mainly a PES guy as well but lately ive preferrd playing online than solo so cant wait for the new fifa...
and ive been able to beat the computer on world class a few times so im primed wen the full game comes out

I joined the UK EA forum and have found out some stuff re. online stuff from there.

The squad of players can consist of up to 50 players, however only 3 need to be available to play the game. The manager of the club decides who plays and can also make substititions mid game, so if your crap, he'll drag you.

The manager can also attempt to sign players from other clubs, and you can recieve offers from other clubs. So if you have a bit of Chris Judd in you, you could betray your club and play elsewhere.

The ultimate goal is to progress up the various leagues to be the number one ranked club in the world. I suggest we start to get names down officially now, because the earlier we start the better.

The game is due to be released on October 2, so a week from today, however last year I got my FIFA 08 about 5 days early, and talking to an aussie on the EA forums who works for dicksmiths, he says they already have some shipments in. So check early next week around because it may well be open early.

I think thats all I know.
