Is anyone else hitting the upright a ridiculous amount of time p/game?! im hitting it at least once a game... but mostly 3-4 times, i dont really care that much, but it does get a bit annoying after a while haha. its getting to the point where it feels like the game is promoting it... by this i mean, its similar to aim assist in FPS's where the bullets are guided towards the target and in this circumstance the ball it guided towards the post. i might just be tripping balls *no pun intended* but i never used to hit the upright this much in other FIFAs? anyone?

Yes. I think the upright forgot to diet over the off-season as it's a lot bigger now.

I don't mind hitting the post either but when it happens so often it does get bloody annoying. Always good when it hits the post and goes in though.

In BAP, i've hit the post a few times, bit annoying but at least it mixes it up a little.

Had it for a few days, and am massively disappointed. No real improvements I can tell that aren't graphical.

Ball control/tackling is a lottery, shooting is ridiculously over sensitive, AI is ******ed. I was really hoping for some good improvements, but it's still as frustratingly unresponsive as ever.

Ah, not yet, but I may be a little too volatile for that. There's only so many times I can time a perfect ball through to my striker, only to press shoot 5% harder than you are allowed and see the ball sail 5m over the crossbar, or my player take around a second to decide to perform the action he was instructed and have the keeper take it off my boot. Or just have a defender wander within 2m of me and whisk the ball away, only to see my opposition dancing all over the park without a care in the world. I would be likely to ragequit I'm afraid, and I hate it when people do that to me so I won't inflict it on them.

I know in the past if you are sprinting while shooting it will cause the above issues, but it seems to do it anyway for me. Maybe I need to play with my controller settings some more. I will try and improve before I give up all together.

Another thing is the inherent crapness of all but the 4 or 5 star sides. Why do they make it pretty much unplayable for any lower ranked side to go up against the Man Utds of the game? I know they try to be realistic, but it just kills the fun when your players are slow, and have no skills, and there's nothing you can really do to combat it. Having ball control and tackling decided by the game rolling random numbers then taking into account arbitrary stats is too far towards simulation for my enjoyment. Give me Mutant League Football or Gretzky 3D Hockey, where actual player skill is brought way more to the fore than the team you choose to play with. I know this is not a new thing, I just hoped they had improved it somehow.

Does anyone find the game a little too easy? Especially in manager mode when your players develop. I've been playing on legendary and won the champions league semi legs 6 nil and 4-1, and the final 4 nil, with Arsenal. Makes the game go stale very quickly.

Pretty sure if you make all your players(Or even just you atackers) super freaks in any game you begin to dominate, just trade some away or don't build them up too much and it will become harder, or even just start from scratch again.

Yeah but that's what's stupid, my development is only like level 7 and i have players like adebayor ranked at 94. Wouldnt wanna see how good they would get if the development level was at 10.

I've read this and your other post and to me it sounds like your just shit, not much to do with the game, just your ability.

I rarely have ball control problems, I mean sure it gets stolen away from me at times, but then again I shouldn't be allowed to get through a player with rediculous ease everytime either, maybe if you tried a trick move or fake pass you can get around them.

Tackling is pretty simple, just time it and your good, they do dance away from you at times, but that is what a normal player will do when being faced with another player, doesn't stop me from having up to 5 tackles per game.

Maybe you are playing it on too hard a difficulty?

I actually follow the game matey and there are a lot of games with more than 1 goal.... Not every match is 0-0 or 1-0.

Its a Fifa game, are you really shocked those issues still plague it?

And as for be a manager mode, i trade players as soon as they his 24, makes things very very interesting. Stole the idea from a guy i knew who id play FM with.

No, I pretty much always win, it has nothing to do with winning or losing - just the way the game is, and always has been made is frustrating.

Lunchlady Doris... This is Football/Soccer whatever you like to call it. It's not meant to be easy. Try dribbling defenders without sprinting it makes it much easier to control and weave through defenders. Especially with the more skillful players.

Also for anyone having problems with the defensive line being too high up try changing the pressure slider in custom tactics to around 10 and the aggression slider to 15. I play the Man United bashers with this tactic and it works a treat. I beat my mate last night 5 - 0 using it. He wasn't able to put easy balls to Berbatov, Rooney and Ronaldo.

What's this 'Be a Pro' business about?

Basically you pick a team of your choice, then you pick one of their players OR create your own.
If you created your own, you will begin in the RESERVES team.

How it works is, you can only control YOUR player and while not with the ball, its up to you to position yourself correctly and mark the correct players (both are indicated with arrows and red circles). You can request that a players passes OR that he shoots and you can also request 2nd man puts pressure on a tackle.

So yeah, you get points for succesful requests, tackles, shots on goal, goals, jostles etc... and you lose points if the are not succesful.

The camera basically focuses on you, and when you are playing as a FWD for example and the ball is down in your defensive half, the camera zooms out to show where you are and the actual play. When the ball is in the FWD half, the camera zooms in closer to frame the play.
But one of the coolest parts is that when running into goal the camera zooms right in behind the player and you can hear his footsteps and breathing etc.

When you have played enough gd games. You will be asked to play SENIORS and then eventually NATIONALLY.

There are about 6 stages you progress up for both CLUB and NATIONAL i.e RESERVE, RESERVE CAPTAIN, SENIOR OCCASSIONAL etc.

And it goes for 4 Seasons and you can change clubs at the end of a season, i got about 4 offers.

yeah, only 4, but by that time your player should be high 90's. im 2 games into my 2nd season and im about 83 I think.

Just on BAP, I turned off all of that crap with arrows and red circles and a massive bar in the middle of the screen.

I don't need a computer to tell me how to play football!

4 is all you need, I doubt I will last that long in my Atletico game. I am a regular in the NT and Atletico league team now. I will be putting it on World Class next time I play though so that could slow me down a bit.

I'm about 75ish in my 1st season.

I also changed the view to TELE, as the BAP mode made it too difficult at times to pass as you couldn't even see your team mate. It's way more fun on tele.
