I swear if any of you noobs go straight to Real Madrid or Barca, don't buy the game. Learn how to play with less skillfull teams.

I don't wan't it to be Fifa09 all over again, Ronaldo bashers!

Then you take a guy like Eto'o, a monster that ripped apart La Liga as well as the Champions League, yet hes only rated 86.

Sure he didn't score goals in the big games but he was consistently Inters best player in those games. In some instances he was their only good player. He is a much much better player than Eto'o, sure not the $60m more that Barca paid for him but he is better.

One of my favorite things to do is to pick a 1 star side and take them to the top :thumbsu:

I was too focused on be a pro mode last year to play through management mode properly. I basically did one full season in the A-League.

In '08 i went through multiple seasons as varied teams, i have a few favorites that i like to grab (Beckham and a few Aussie players).

You reckon JB will let me trade FIFA 09 with another game for FIFA 10? Also does anyone know what Australia's overall is? and what Cahill, Kewell are?

From what I've noticed already you can't just hold down spring with Ronaldo, Messi etc. It really can't be abused like 09.

Not sure about the latter, but in regards to trading Fifa 09, my mate (bok_party) tells me his bro went in and they said they would only give $10 for Fifa 09, at EB, not sure at JB though. Seem kinda similar to me, it varies though

I got $30 at GAME but that was two weeks ago when I preordered it. It will have come down now that 10 is out.

They'll give you $10 for it but will then sell it for $79.95 on the pre-owned shelf :rolleyes:

Yeah sounds right. That is what I said to my mate also, i thought we should've pre ordered it then gotten more off when we traded it in, ah well.

haha 79.95 even though its $50 (or less now?) brand new...wouldn't be surprised though :D
 
Played with my mate for most of the night and we both just loved it. It’s a major step up from FIFA 09 in terms of gameplay and easily the best football game on the market. Every goal we scored was different and there were so many neat little touches that kept occurring which forced us to just look at each other with a smile and continue.

The highly rated teams are still obviously going to be used much more in this game but from what I was able to gather it wasn’t a case of using the speed of the quicker players and being able to abuse it. For example we played a Chelsea Vs Newcastle United game. I went The Magpies and with some solid buildup I was able to hit the back of the net with the first goal of the match. As the game progressed though the overall class of the Chelsea players came through and I ended up losing 3-1 but it didn’t feel like I lost because my opponent was just abusing a better star rating team with better attributes. It felt more like I lost because Chelsea were the better team. It just didn’t feel cheap like 09 did at times.

The graphics have stepped up a notch as well. They appear cleaner then 09 including the pitch. Snow FTW! The crowd is still shit though! I hope they improve that in 2011. I also noticed the commentary has improved as well with more player names being called out and far more interesting talk amongst the team.

I had a fiddle with the MM mode last night and I can’t really review or comment on it as I didn’t have near enough time to play it with work today and already being 1AM. I can see a very satisfying year of FIFA 10 ahead though!

I just can’t wait to get home to play it. I can see a very satisfying year of FIFA 10 ahead. With this & NBA 2K around the horizon and then CoD: MWF2 out in November I don’t know whether I’ll miss the sun this summer. :o

Ah, the wonders of being a Uni student. ;)

I went out to Games Warehouse near Homebush (up in Sydney) and I got it yesterday.

It's absolutely sensational. After a few teething problems at first, we found it to be a vast improvement on 09. Just the general gameplay and scoring seem to be more spontaneous (as wierd as that sounds). Whereas in 09, you got into systems where you knew how to score, FIFA10 seems to make everything more challenging and it takes real skill to score.

The 360 degrees of motion is definitely interesting (and will take a while to get used to), but the fact that they've made it much harder to do through balls (you really have to weight it properly) makes goals much more valuable.

Graphics are better, gameplay is better - the only problem I have with it is that Liverpool is still shit.

We came 2nd last year FFS, EA! :p

Really though I think the ratings really reflect us at the moment. We lost 2-0 to Fiorentina last night FFS! I know exactly what you mean with the goal scoring. With FIFA 09 yes you could score a variety of goals but there were just cheaper ways in doing so. In FIFA 10 your forced to play the beautiful game. ;)
