Dropped in to garden city after uni, went to K mart asked the girl for fifa then she went out the back and got it:thumbsu::thumbsu:. "Highly anticipated game" she says. She wasn't even good looking but I would of given her a kiss just for ending my quest for fifa 10.
 
Just got home from Gametraders with my copy, you ****ing beauty! Had an awesome drive home despite the traffic being a bit ****ed.

I have also booked tomorrow and Friday off work and with Monday a Public Holiday here I've got a shitload of FIFA to play this weekend!
 
Only played one game. I've been sick in bed for the last 3 days so my skills were probably hampered a bit, but i didnt find it 'too easy' at all. Shooting is way harder.

Just playing around with Ron in the Arena and he does his deep breath thing for FKs + Penalties and he does that little stutter thing for penaties as well, nice touch!

Also when I played City at Old Trafford, the ground looked amazing, like in real life :D and there was a small corner section where the opposition fans clearly sat. nice touch! :)
 
Just got mine from EB games in Point Cook for $89.95 (price matched from GAME). Went to EB as it has the $25 off next EA purchase.

They ring me earlier today and say that FIFA 10 is available for me to pick up TOMORROW!

So I don't even bother checking here as I think it won't be out until then.

Now I see that it's out and every ****ing person has it.

Here's an idea. Don't use ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS IN THE GAME STRAIGHT AWAY!

Who were you going up against?
 
Went to EB at Water Gardens and they refused to price match JB or Big W due to it being 'a day before release date' and wanted to offload it to me for the RRP of $110, idiots. Walked into JB which was around the corner of the shopping center and there was like 10-15 people lining up with the FIFA 10 game in their hands lol. Ended up getting it for $89.

Unfortunately EA still haven't penalized rage quitters :thumbsd:

highlights are definetly poo. only show like 3 things despite there eing like 8 goals.

I tried virtual pro. Its good. I am enjoying it. Only thing is that say if you just manage to cross the ball in with a sliding tackle and it is cleared by the other team, you lose points. I think you should get some because you tried hard to keep it in?

Anyone tried online yet? I still find it laggy.
 
NOT HAPPY!!! There is a serious glitch that I can't believe EA didn't notice.

I was playing against Manchester United at Old Trafford and was up 1-0 in the 90th minute. All of a sudden the referee announced that there will be just ONE minute of time added on!! WTF???? It's Old Trafford and Man Utd is losing!!! So unrealistic. I might take this game back.

Started my manager mode with Spurs on Legandary. I haven't played FIFA for about 3 months now and didn't make any transfers in (sold a heap though). Drew my first 2 friendlies before losing the last 2 to Bayern Munich and Palermo. Only scored 1 goal in the 4 friendlies and starting to wonder if I should drop a level until I get used to it again but decide against it.

Play my first league match against Fulham and go into half time 0-0 despite dominating. Fulham with their first attack of the game score from a lovely header and I'm still down 1-0 after 70 minutes when the wife calls for dinner. I pause the game and put down the controller in disgust at my inability to score. After dinner I get back and immediately score from a wonderful bit of lead up play. Then with 86 minutes gone Lennon gets the ball to Defoe who turns beautiful in the box before slotting past the Aussie goalie and I win my first game of the season 2-1.

It's much harder to score now and even getting shots on target is more difficult as it seems as though they have incorporated the 360 dribbling into shooting aswell.
 
Ok, in all seriousness, here are my quick thoughts on the game after just over an hour messing around:

- While the crowds still look very average, at least EA have left empty patches of seating at less popular games and packed it out for derbies etc.
- Bad teams will completely mess up passing and crosses. This should be an obvious one, but it's quite noticable in FIFA 10 eg. a Hull defender found himself at the byline, went to whip a cross over, lost his balance and put it behind the goal.
- Players move a lot more realistically (and I'm not just talking about 360 degree dribbling) eg. if you collide with another player, you'll put your hands out to break your fall - nice touch.
- Passes are a lot more fluid.
- Through balls are superb, not only on goal, but down the flanks and occasionally out of defence if you have space.
- Player attributes are reflected accurately in the game eg. tall, stocky defenders can't outpace small, speedy strikers.
- It's frustratingly hard to score one on one. I think I only managed to do it once in three games (not including lobs, which seemed a little too easy to score).
- The quick free kick innovation is a breath of fresh air.
- In future versions of FIFA, I think teams need to be rated out of 10, not the five stars. It's a joke to have Everton and Man City on par with Arsenal and half a point behind Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Real Madrid!! (even though their current form is ok).
- Rosters are mostly up to date, although Danny Allsopp is still at Melbourne.
- Finally, is it just me, or could you hear the crowd chant "Ernie Merrick's blue and white army" in Melbourne Victory home games?

Am absolutely loving this game so far!!!

For what it's worth, my three game went as such:

Liverpool 5 defeated Hull 3 (defence out the window, Torres hat-trick)
Liverpool 0 lost to Everton 3 (got completely undone with set pieces and headers, had Carragher sent off in first half)
Melbourne 6 defeated North Queensland 0 (ran all over them - Thompson had 4)

I was playing 8 minute halfs on 'Professional' but have since changed to 6 minute halfs on World Class. We'll see how that goes.

Finally, here are some of the goals I saved:

My first FIFA 10 goal - nothing special, nice Dirk Kuyt finish

Love the celebration - sliding head first into the net!

LOL! An even better celebration! Chip the keeper and slide through his legs!
