FIFA is the true soccer simulation fan's game.

You should be thanking the Lord for PES though. FIFA (EA Sports actually) games never improved year by year until PES came along and quite literally blew them out of the water.

I actually thought the EXACT same thing while playing it. It really did feel like an arcade title.

I liked a few little aspects of PES but there was really nothing that I could say was better than FIFA.

I agree with Borgsta that there is a huge need for competition as EA can get very lazy if there is none. But they have certainly taken the cake once again from PES and PES are starting to lag big time if you ask me.

Early days and the game runs well... but is anyone else finding the world class mode a bit easy to exploit down the flanks and even sometimes straight down the middle with through balls?
Kind of disappointing at this stage as it limits the gameplay until you can unlock legendary mode.. still going to buy it though

I find, the defenders far too gd at getting the ball off you and pushing you off the ball and it's annoying aggresive they are. When messi gets the ball they just treat him like any other player, dunno how or if they will stop that though.

Thats how he should be treated though. He isn't that strong on the ball in real life and i think the game reflects it well. His skills lie in his quick footwork and speed.. which he has in this game. Its just different to previous versions of fifa but I think they got it right

I never see defenders make kamikaze runs straight at Messi, because he would just run rings around them, same with Ronaldo. You just dont see it.

True... hit the trick stick and get around them... thats what it was put in place for. If they made ronaldo and messi immune to defenders then it would be kinda silly.

You serious man? My mate asked because we were going to do something like that and they said you can't? Might've been because we wanted 2 copies of FIFA '10? Could you do us a favor and ask him if you can do that deal with 2 of the same EA10 titles (fifa in this case)

Ok, if you use L2+R2 (skilled dribbling) the defenders pay you a little more respect. Which is good, cus if they sit back it's actually harder to get past them, which is obviously realistic. A few times they tried to go the hack on messi and it only took a push of the right joystick to get passed them.

Yeah it is amazing how far ahead EA FIFA is ahead of PES now. Competition is always a good thing for gamers.

Why don't one of you guys buy Fifa10 along with trading in a game and get it for cheaper.

And then they will give you a EA10 card and then your mate can use the EA10 card along with trading in a game (Fifa09)...

Don't go in together and try and do it.. If they have already said no, go in seperatley and they will let you..Obviously you and your mate need to work out the money issues, so you guys end up paying the same amount, therefore save money..

So, we're looking at (most likely) less than a week until release now, as Im betting next Tuesday will be the day. Cant bloomin wait. The gameplay has completely won me over, and it will improve still to the final version, and then theres the new MM that im just dying to test out. Bring on FIFA 10!!!!
