Anyway, the game is due to come out early October, and will probably be alot like the WC game, which was alot better than FIFA 10, in my opinon.

Some new features include being able to create a new team from scratch, which is great for some people who play at a local club and would like to put there team in the game, although this has to be done on the web.

As the action heats up in South Africa in the midst of the World Cup semi-finals EA Sports has dropped details on one of FIFA 11's new features, a mode that allows players to build their own players and clubs from scratch.

Dubbed the Creation Centre, it's a web-based application that allows player appearance, attributes and abilities to be edited as well as team names, stadiums, kits and crest – all of which means we can finally resurrect our own beloved Deptford Wednesday.

"Having the ability to customize content in FIFA 11 to the degree where you are creating players and teams, choosing player attributes and managing team tactics effortlessly from the web opens up a world of possibilities of original content that fans will be able to create," said producer David Rutter in the official blurb.

The reveal also brought with it news of FIFA 11's official release date, with the game coming to North America on September 28 before hitting Europe on October 1.

We popped over to Vancouver to see the game last month and were mightily impressed – expect further details in the coming weeks.

Anyway. It's good to see that EA are still bringing some substantial improvements into the game with stuff like the player personalities and just a more rounded passing and shooting system which will really sort the class from the dregs this time around.

Loving all the new improvements so far. Really like the idea of the Creation Centre, hope it works well.

Hopefully we can get something on Be A Pro or Manager Mode soon.

If it's anything like the jump from FIFA 10 to FIFA World Cup then I will be very impressed.

My friend got the pre-order ball last year, it wasn't full sized but it was pretty crappy.

I remember in FIFA 06(?) you could create a team. I tried creating Perth Glory but got bored because Perth Glory were too shit to justify the effort.

I'm excited about the ability to add chants to the crowd as well, should make it even more authentic listening to "You'll Never Walk Alone" after winning the Champions League Semi-Final.

That should be the main focus because it was a big let down last year considering they talked it up. Hopefully they include Larissa Riquelme as well.
