Oh I remember you, I'd always be beating you 2-0 or so and then your shit internet conection would cut out and you'd claim to be coming back or some shit. Perhaps play me at fifa 2015, by then the NBN should be done and your 1996 dial up internet will no longer be needed.

That is a quality post. Don't recall the coming back bit, but the connection has gotten slightly better you buffoon.

i don't really play online as i am pretty average but I still stick around talking about the game.

can i be the whipping boy?

Online is the only way your going to improve at this game. The better players you play the more experience you get out of it.

We need to make a whipping boy list... ;)

How often do you play ?

Fifa is the only game i really thrash. Especially just after it gets released. I think on an average week including work, uni, indoor soccer (now that the outdoor season is over) etc. Definetly between 5-10 hours a week will be delegated to this game. This is just so i can answer the question, i don't know what im going to do in 10 mins let alone how often im going to play the game. But it depends on what your definition of 'often' is. Also can i ask what the point of this question is?

The sooner people realise that fifa isn't just a game, and that it's an art the better. :thumbsu:

Well said, sir. I'm terrible but I know it, so I'm not discouraged. ;)

Thanks mate.

Haha im glad your not discouraged. :thumbsu:

I agree, mah mah :thumbsu:

:D:thumbsu:

I think I'll be the whipping boy

Haha.

There's a line mate.

I dunno if it's due to people being that shit. I think it comes down to more lack of anything to really talk about. With FIFA WC it was good because everyone had their own little compact story to talk about, with the annual FIFA's there's not a whole lot that can be spoken about at any real length.

Personally as well, in the past I've been a pretty much solely offline player mainly due to not liking the online layout and only venturing to play someone on my friends list and I find randoms boring to play as well. So it's tough to really drum up anything special to talk about there. Having said that, with the great layout and fun I've had with FIFA WC online I'm definitely raring to give online a good go in FIFA 11.

Look forward to playing you a few times as well.;)

Haha.

Yer everything you said is understandable but for me the whole point of Fifa is online.

Fair enough the offline game modes have been improved and they are much more apart of the game these days but how can you find it fun or enjoyable playing against a computer?

How can you find it enjoyable being in direct competition with a computer which will be probably programmed to combat everything you do instantly. Also not to mention the fact of using all your tactical knowledge of the game, formations etc. against a computer.

The whole point of fifa is the actual game of football. Playing short passes, long passes, one-two's, dribbling on your own, taking long pot shots etc. And to express yourself against a computer is just simply boring.

I'd rather showcase my skills to my human opponent and feel the satisfaction of beating a person with a brain than a computer which gets repetitive and boring.

But thats for the guys who are leaving out online and only planning on playing offline game modes.

But thats only my opinion and HBK im looking foward to playing you aswell. :)

I just don't see the point, of a grown man (i presume) taking such pride and arrogance in being "elite" at a video game, largely targeted towards a younger audience

It seems rather pointless, petty, insecure and a waste of time
But that's just my view, i have no doubt you see it differently

Wait who are you to be judging someone on an internet forum? :o
So are you an old man are you? Well sorry gramps but im only 21 and if your ready to wheel yourself off to a retirement home thats fine by me. :thumbsu:

Your talking like your some politician. I'm glad my posts have gotten to you this much. :thumbsu::D

Makes me giggle. :thumbsu:

Also when did i ever say i was 'elite' at this game? But thanks you idiot!

Just another assumption made by you on a internet forum were you spend your life 24/7!!!!!!!!! (making assumptions offcourse) Because thats all you do!!! :thumbsu:

I much prefer playing online. There's only so much you can get out of playing against an AI-controlled opponent. Even if it's just some random on the other side of the world there's nothing better than knowing you're better than someone else after you've beaten them :p

I barely touched MM on Fifa10 but it still is the most fun I've had out of a game and I've played most of the PS3 classics...Online is SO much fun + addictive.

Anyways, haven't really played a lot of people on BF though so add me on PSN: magpiebazz36

Anyone know if EB Games will refund FIFA 11 in the 7 day policy? Heard it comes with an online code so they might not.

Asking because I'll be getting it and giving it back for a refund while waiting for my copy(dog thing to do but at least I'm paying for a copy)

Because the computer wont quit if you are leading in the 90th minute. People quitting in FIFA is the definition of frustrating.

They refunded my money on madden 10 without an issue.
You get 7 days free online trial with the game and you don't have to use the code suggest just use that and then return it, most EB games employees wouldn't know about the online codes anyway

Think you need to get in line with the times bruddah. The average age of a gamer is around 30. Most people here would be 18-early 20s.

FIFA 11 just lost about 5 rating points with me for not including White Hart Lane. Instead they made St James park for a team fresh out of the mickey mouse league. Never heard of this Newcastle outfit.
