was playing CM and in the 3rd round of the FA cup i got southampton. Put out my 2nd string side. I was being played off the park! couldnt keep possession so i had a long shot out of frustration with robbie keane in about the 40th min (first time he touched the ball) and scored from about 35 yards out!

first thing hes done all season in my game (and in real life come to think of it). In the end i won 2-0 though so all was good:thumbsu:
 
Are any of the defensive stats working for people's VP?

Myself and caMo have found that they just aren't recording no matter what. The tackles work in other accomplishments like Physical and whatever, but the 'Defence' one's just don't seem to be adding up at all. A bug perhaps?

Now that you have mentioned i don't think they have been, i don't pay too much attention to my defensive attributes but i don't think i have unlocked any. Maybe you have to play in defense to unlock them.

Don't have to be delisted as a defender too? I might chuck my 5'2 stricker in the CB position but afraid he might get split in two! :o





Oh and lolz at the guy complaining about penalties! Obviously hasn't checked out any tutorials or practice? If you want to just press circle to score then go and play fifa '99! :thumbsu:

That's a bit of a bummer, guess they're sort of forcing you to play a defensive role.

Wonder if CDM's can get those defensive stats or not, would be a pretty redundant role if not.
 
Checking out all your goals now.

Epic moment for me yesterday. Just beat Man U 5-0, then I play Stoke, score first then get outplayed, they hit the bar 5 times. I have it all sown up then like early in injury time (i think it was +3) they score a header. I went mental at my defenders and usually i have a little sook and just bang it from half way. I convinced myself there was time left, so from kick off, RvP runs around a few, sees my sub Neymar free, a sensational lobbed through ball and Neymar cooly places it on the volley. Such a great moment.

I struggle big time against Man City. I think its more the formation (4-2-3-1) than anything.

Very saddened that my 50+ yard free kick was saved by me from a stupid view.

PS Nice free kick by Ipswich, not the usual keeper mistake that caused a goal, just nice curve and placement. Nice header as well, seen a lot of nice flick headers scored on this game.

Man City are epic. Had an amazing bout against them a while back. Was 5-5 in the end with just end to end scoring, was the craziest match (since all of my matches have about 2 goals maximum).

They're a very quick and powerful side (with 2 brilliantly contrasting forwards) and their formation is definitely tough to break through at times as well.

Just beat Man City 1-0, was aiming for a quick early goal and defend, worked in the end :thumbsu:

Seriously, ive said it like 10 times but man the reffing is so bad, i agree that the computer don't do the pressure fouls much but there are so many 50-50s that go there way and don't go the way for the human controlled players. Did a pressure tackle that was brilliant but somehow it was a penalty. It happens but since they got a lot of things spot on like offside calls etc, definitely not even close to a penalty.

Refs should get suspended on this :p

Scored my best goal yet on world class, a perfect cross, and a perfect diving header from Cahill in a 1-1 draw against Arsenal. Also came back from 3 goals down against Inter, Cahill scored 3 goals in 12 mins, though two of them were from terrible goalkeeping errors.

I still got a lot of improving to do though before I can compete with the best, 1 on 1, free kicks and defending (have a habit of conceding a ridiculously terrible goal every match)

Umpires are shockingly biased. I had a player sent off in the Arsenal game for a bump that shouldn't have even been a free kick. Was fuming, luckily I was able to defend with 5 minutes to go. Oh and handballs are glitchy as well. You can make a terrible challenge that is reportable, but if the opponent handballs on the ground or during their fall, free kick to you instead :P

Yeah EA have erased everyone's online stats to ensure everyone is on a level playing field as the flag glitch was screwing up the leaderboards.

Unfortunately for those who play legitimately as you do, and have a good record which I had @ 15-3-1. You have to re-do it all.

Many unhappy with FIFA for poor gameplay with online pro club, but maybe someone else could shed some light on that..
 
Had to beat Man Utd to go top going into my last game
dominated the game, but just couldnt get past Van der sar.
unfortunately this story doesnt have a happy ending, and I ended up finishing second and now waiting on the decision from the board re my coaching position :(
 
Why is the refereeing in this game so bullshit? There's pretty much no way to consistantly avoid getting a free kick while pressing for the ball, it's pretty much all luck. If that isn't bad enough, I get a player sent off for a slide tackle (where I actually hit the ball) just because the opposing player was in open space. I would have shut him off easily had I not tackled but thanks to flawed mechanics, the game recognizes the ball being 40 yards out in the open a clear goal oppertunity.

refereeing is beyond a joke. I regret not recording what I got a yellow for before. Aquilani (me) had the ball, lost control of the ball and sort of tripped over himself. Fell into another player, and got a yellow. The thing was I didnt press a button haha. Handballs are also a joke, dont turn them on at least for penalties.
I also hate how referees waste my time by running over to me, only to wave there hands. I honestly dont care.
