FIFA 11 just lost about 5 rating points with me for not including White Hart Lane. Instead they made St James park for a team fresh out of the mickey mouse league. Never heard of this Newcastle outfit.

Shit colours also

Think you need to get in line with the times bruddah. The average age of a gamer is around 30. Most people here would be 18-early 20s.

Dunno happy eagle seems to be too mature for gaming even though he spends his time
on internet forums talking about video games?

Pretty sure St.James Park has been in the game for most of the Fifa timeline. However until Tottenham play CL football for about 3 or 4 years in a row, thats when they will make the White Heart Lane Stadium. They are still relatively unproven.

Anyway your pot shot at Newcastle is out of order. :p

i offered a bloke at EB $200 cash yesterday for an early copy.

he politely refused :(

gonna start calling places shortly

Haha.

Yer everything you said is understandable but for me the whole point of Fifa is online.

Fair enough the offline game modes have been improved and they are much more apart of the game these days but how can you find it fun or enjoyable playing against a computer?

How can you find it enjoyable being in direct competition with a computer which will be probably programmed to combat everything you do instantly. Also not to mention the fact of using all your tactical knowledge of the game, formations etc. against a computer.

The whole point of fifa is the actual game of football. Playing short passes, long passes, one-two's, dribbling on your own, taking long pot shots etc. And to express yourself against a computer is just simply boring.

I'd rather showcase my skills to my human opponent and feel the satisfaction of beating a person with a brain than a computer which gets repetitive and boring.

But thats for the guys who are leaving out online and only planning on playing offline game modes.

But thats only my opinion and HBK im looking foward to playing you aswell. :)
Yeah, I completely understand where you're coming from. I guess I just generally like the knowledge that I'm going to get a competitive game (and the AI is good enough to provide a fairly consistent challenge IMO) without lag, without quitters and without any general cheating issues as well. It's about avoiding potential frustrations and having fun offline than encountering annoying issues online. That's why I generally speaking will be open to playing someone on my friends list, because I know that won't (or VERY rarely) will happen.

Also as RL said earlier the structured system that FIFA WC had set up created a real goal towards playing online. Where that is absent in the annual FIFA series, so I don't really ever feel that want or need to play online and achieve anything substantial (despite an 'Online World Cup' win really not being anything substantial, it is structured in a way that it felt like a true achievement to have won).

FIFA WC was and is so well structured to the point that I have only played 1 World Cup campaign offline and every other match has been online, mainly in the FIFA Online World Cup. That would be nearly 60+ hours worth too, quite easily.

It all comes down to structure over any other frustrations, as I have had lag, I have had quitters and players who do attempt to cheat (or exploit) the system but continued to play due to the way FIFA WC was structured.

Hopefully I find it different for FIFA 11, but I won't be holding my breath really.

"A small independent store in Winston Hills broke the street date. The Winston Hills Eb has special permission to sell theirs because of this. EB civic rang them to confirm that they were selling and that they have special permission.

Looks like we need a national retailer to break it if we want it today ><"
