Downloaded the file last night. took around 3 hours to download. only got around an hour with it as i was flicking between the brownlow count.

Created my Virtual pro. no real new features for your pro like hair and accesories. you have to unlock a lot of features just like last season. also Accomplishments look pretty much the same.

Started a career mode with West Ham too. only played 2 friendlies which i struggled with. beaten 2-0 by Livorno and 4-1 by Roma. playing 5 minute halves on Professional.

Really likes the look of transfer system. had Blackburn aggresively chase Carlton Cole even though he wasnt listed. Started off with a $7 million offer and they eventually put in an offer of 10.5. i was very tempted to sell him but i was struggling to find anyone willing to come to the championship. so relunctantly i declined the offer.

The scouting looks great. hired two scouts sent them out to England to look for defensive minded players and to spain to look for wingers. both came back around a month later of a list of around 5-6 each. they had their recommended list which i kept scouting for another month and signed a spanish 16 year old who has the possible potential between 72-91 so i quickly signed him up. looked the goods. he went into my youth academy for the year.

Cant wait to get into it more tonight.

Every game is different. Depends what others are selling at.

Gears was $69, this is $79 next week NBA will probably be $89.

Decided to start off with the pc version this time around, considering the price is cheaper vs the console versions (if i buy it digitally). It is meant to be the first year in which the pc version matches the console versions feature by feature, but also matching (and suprassing the console version depending on your computer) visually.

EB wont give you pre order bonuses if you price match.

But JB might let you keep the 18 gold packs and 3 months magazine if you price match from $79 to $69.

Probably not...I just traded a game in which got it to about 60 so I just got it from EB. If I had to pay the full 108, I probably would have gone for a cheaper option.

24 gold packs + a mini soccer ball for 40 probably isn't great, depends how much you like UT...then again probably won't get any great packs, I know I won't.

Same with me. I traded in a stack of games and paid FIFA off in full. I think I'm just gonna leave it.

For those who played UT last year, how long did a gold contract last on a player? Everyone seems to complain about the length of contracts. Looking on the web app, it appears as though a normal gold contract keep a gold player under contract for 13 games.

Is there any point in doing so? and if yes, please someone explain the benefits?

I pre-ordered Fifa 11 from EB games months out from the release date last year and forfeited the extras when I asked them to price match JB's - Both broke the street date from memory.

I didn't bother pre-ordering this year, called both JB and EB games today and whilst both had the game in store, they wouldn't sell it to me.

Has anyone broken street date as I am absolutely itching for this game and would like to get it tomorrow if possible

as I said, can anyone advise if there is any point pre-ordering it tomorrow and why so?

Harvey, if you pre-order from EB Games, you get 24 gold packs for Ultimate team (Four per month), as well as a steelbook edition of the game and a size two soccer ball. By not pre-ordering, you'll buy the standard edition which doesn't come with the above things, but will be cheaper.

No point pre ordering, just make sure if you're going to get it on Thursday you're at the shops at 9, although, the various stores should have a shitload of copies available.
