I am eventually going to get FIFA. There are problems with PES too, trust me on this.

My gripe with FIFA's manager mode is, if you're going to spend so much work on it, at least make sure it's going to be good.

Someone posted earlier Pato going to PSV for 83m.
The problems with this are

A) PSV don't have that kind of money
B) It's a step backwards career wise

Presentation/sound etc, FIFA smashes PES out of the ball park.

agree to an extent, fifa is always a bit fantasy football, you want ultra-realistic transfers football manager is where its at.

I'm not talking about realism in Manager mode if you want that buy Football manager. I'm talking about realistic gameplay. Every sports game strives for that these days.

It's not really that realistic if you think about it. Real soccer is 90 minutes and the teams aren't running at a hundred miles an hour up and down the ground all game trying to score. Just wondering what's the max game length you can play?

Yeah I'm aware of that. Just can't get over a slow, 32 year old like Cahill going to a club like Fiorentina for £27m.

I was playing it on the xbox display at the jb hifi and it was pretty reasonable arcade game of soccer

Each card has a certain amount of games assigned to them. When they run out, you can't use that player again until you buy a player contract.

What modes has everyone been playing? I've only played ranked matches where you build up stars and XP or whatever. Seems pretty cool. Other than that I've only played a few friendly matches against a mate online.

OK.

For those guys concerned with UT contracts, this may be of some assistance.

In the Auction Search section select Development Search.

Select Gold level and make the Type - Contracts.

Set the Maximun Price on the right hand side of the screen to 150 and run a search.

Make sure if it is Player Contracts that you're after that you select the right ones when scrolling through as they can look similar to Manager Contracts.

You should be able to put a few bids on the best contracts (shiny gold ones) for $150.

I wouldn't go paying too much more than $250 for these as you should be looking to put your funds into developing your squad, not just keeping them on the park.

Hope this helps.
