Picked this up earlier today.

I do like it, but the computer's defending is challenging, even on semi pro. I like how you have to be more patient in your build up play too. Presentation is a dream, love how Clive Tydesley and Andy Townsend commentate some games too.

How do you import music?

I should be more detailed. Do you need to have a music cd that you own and rip songs from the xbox/ps3 from that to the hard drive or can you just go through your files though a media centre established from your PC to your xbox?

Well it's taken much longer than I'd hoped/thought! But I'm getting there. If you want to import your whole iTunes library, then check out this post - you've got to have a portable hard drive though and access to a spare powerpoint near the PS3. It also has to converted to FAT32 or something - which is where I came unstuck. Ah well. It's a little outdated, but still easy to understand.

If you're just importing a playlist of about 30-50 songs or whatever, just use a USB flash drive and create a folder on it called iTunes. Once you plug the USB into the PS3, go to "Music" on the XMB and go down to where it says "USB 2.0 Device" (or something like that).

It will probably say "no tracks are found". I panicked for a bit here haha. But just press Triangle and then select "Display All" - then you can see everything on your USB. Scroll to the iTunes folder on your USB and then press Triangle again - and then select "Copy". This will copy all the music in that folder onto your PS3.

It isn't foolproof but it should work. Now for me to try and make it work on FIFA. By the way - Album art and track data works fine for MP3's, but the PS3 doesn't take as kindly to AAC (m4a) files. They still play fine, but if you want track data then you'll have to pre-convert them in iTunes.

Finally hitting my straps in my first CM season now, the turning point coming with an awesome 3-1 win over Liverpool. Barkley, Rodwell and Fellaini are all in fantastic form, making it a real fight for midfield selection, and Saha hasn't injured himself yet.

Ah, theres no cup matches and this lvl 58 goal keeper is thinking of going somewhere else if the club doesn't play him soon, I might put him in if I am up by 2-3 goals..

I need some assistance.

Interested in purchasing Fifa, however have never played the game before, and not interested in soccer at all.

Meaning, I have no idea about moves, plays etc. but do know some of the EPL teams.

Main reason I want to purchase is because I want a new game, Im not really into all the action type games, I'd rather stick with a sports game I can just chuck on to have a biy of a play around (will be getting 2k12 as a serious sports game).

So, is it worth me purchasing?

If you want to save a bit of time you can download Origin and setup an account. It's a bit like Steam. When you get home and install the game it will attach your FIFA cd key to your Origin account. After installing, which takes about 5-10 minutes, you will have to download the 3.3 Gb patch

Maybe I'll hit you up for an online game sometime? I played one last night against someone from Europe and the lag was ridiculous. How I held on for only a 0-1 loss was beyond me. He mustn't have been very good. That one goal was an own goal too because the delay was too long and my player didn't clear the ball, instead just dribbling it into my own net.

Hopefully my net connection will be smooth. It has it dodgy days.

What's your username? I'll add you once I set mine up. I might need a few hours/days of practice before attempting any online games.

The thing I'm enjoying most about this game is that I'm losing. Always winning in FIFA 11 is what turned me off it (though I continued to play), but I not know that I've got to do my very best to have a win. It's brilliant.

Destroying UT at the moment, too.

Unfortunately, attackers still run offside when you're on the attack.

as for formations, it's all about what formation you prefer to play. you can make multiple teams remember, so it isn't a huge issue

I'm currently making a 4-4-2 England squad after playing only 1 game with my multi-national team. My only player so far is Kyle Walker

Haha my ultimate team is called "Foul Throw" - first thing that came to my mind.

Anyway I think I have the custom highlights music and menu music down pat. Haven't tried it out yet but I think it should work well. Firstly I made a playlist on the PS3 which included every song I imported from my iTunes folder except "Fire" as that will be the highlights song, just like in real life.

Then I went into the customise FIFA 12 section and edited the correct settings, both for normal an virtual pro. Leave the last category for leagues and teams. I changed Arena and Menu music to my "FIFA" playlist, and changed entrance music, victory music and defeat music to "Fire". Hopefully that should make it play after each game, no idea what it will do for a draw though haha.
