Such a frustrating morning. I haven't even finished a game yet. Have had two guys rage quite on me, then in another game, I was up 2-1, it disconnected and gave me the loss, and another game I was up 2-1 again, get a bullshit penalty against me in the 85th minute. My keep gets a hand on it and it still goes in

I'm thinking of upgrading Koscielny to IF Koscielny, but I don't know how IF prices usually work. If I wait a few weeks, will he get cheaper or more expensive?
More expensive.

Generally IF prices go something like this:

Straight after release ie first couple days - super expensive as everyone wants this shiny new IF card for their team and there wouldn't be many opened in packs yet (If you have an IF card sell then or wait a few weeks for maximum value)

About 4 days to a week and half after release - price settles and falls a little bit as there's the most there will ever be on the market (buy then)

Week and half after release onwards - Price will slowly start to climb and climb especially if it's a popular and good card. Some go up more than others. Some of the big names IF's if you wait too long there will be maybe like 5-10 on the market if that and you'll be paying out the nose for it. I got IF Koscielny for 30k awhile ago when I had a BPL team and I just looked at the market and he's 60-70k now. Good example.

******* hell. How does one use a goalkeeper? Cause I've absolutely dominated games and the opposition seems to play like superman against me but my keeper always lets goals in. I dunno if I need to work on my finishing or something but seriously so fustrating. Just had 20 shots to 3, 15 of them on target and lose 1-0....

And what is everyones favourite formation? 4-5-1 is getting me destroyed, it always seems to commit too many players forward. I find any formation without CDM's to be shithouse as the midfield gets raped and people get in behind too easily.

WTF? Have they upped the difficulty in offline seasons?

They'd hardly get a shot off half a week ago but now they're scoring for fun. I thought it was because I was using my 2nd XI but, even then, that team now is still just as good as my best team was a week ago.

Try play on defensive mode for a game or two. It's what every campaigner in Div 1 does anyway!

If you want a good defensive formation, it's 3-5-2. Every time I play it, I struggle to break them down.

I've been running 4-3-3 for a few weeks with my main team, either 3 CMs or 2 and a CAM (card is too pricy). I play ultra defensive though, so it's kinda like having 3 CDMs

Love playing against any formation with 3 either 3 or 5 defenders, as there's either heaps of space for my wingers, or my midfield 3 can boss them. 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 I can struggle to break down at times.

4-1-2-1-2 (must be the most popular surely) I'm fine against

You more or less have to. It's not just for pace abusers (who continually lob the ball over, or for "skillers" who literally try and skill their way through the entire defence (******* infuriating - that's not how soccer is played, not even Messi /endrant) but just about any 4 man defence can be broken open pretty easily through passes, long shots, everything. UT is so easy to score goals (sometimes) that you have to emphasise your defence.

If you're one or two up late in the game, understandable - even I do that sometimes.

But not from ******* kickoff, sorry.

Ah as in the team management settings and set it to ultra defensive/counter attack style? I'll give it a go. Against guys who have their centre mid are packed I'm getting destroyed as a 4-5-1 only has the 1 CM.

4-5-1 is fine if you've got the skill to play it, it just turns games into shootouts. I seem to win or lose about 75% of my matches by 3 or more goals.
Yeah high scoring games it seems. You create a shitload of chances but if u don't take them you get destroyed on the counter as the midfield are all committed up forward.

In-game, your d-pad activates tactics.

Left-right for game style (attacking/defensive) and up-down to switch wings/offside traps/team press.

Im using a 4-3-2-1 for my Russian league squad and find its brilliant against the 4-1-2-1-2 that most opponents seem to have. Completely dominate through the middle and create a tonne of chances, need two of the CM to have high def workrates tho.

The CAM/CF modifier is cheap. I'd have used one on Silva and put Barry on instead of the silver player.
I was thinking that but Silva is a cm in my EPL side and don't want to change him. I'll survive with him for the moment :) Beat the TOTW 3-1 on pro with that team. So it does ok :)
