Anyone else have the problem with a freeze at the end of career games? I get to the screen where you press advance and wait for other results, but the game freezes.
Has happened 3 times now and only in Career mode.

Yeah - I have been driven mental by freezes in career mode. I would get a fair way through and then freeze, either during loading a saved game, or while advancing a date.

Finally, I appear to have stumbled across a solution and have been playing reliably now for about 2 seasons or a couple of weeks in real time. I recalled all my scouts and fired them all. I saw this on another website as a solution. It seemed to fix the problem. After about a year, i took a risk and employed one scout ... so I could get some Australian youngsters.

So far, so good. But I am not going to hire more than one scout.

Went and made some upgrades.

First transfer request off the bat from PSG for Ranocchia who was valued at 20 million pounds. They offered 24, I countered with a ridiculous 35.5, which they accepted. That gave me some lovely spending money, and thus:

------------------------------------------T Krul (Newcastle transfer, 85)----------------------------------------------------
T Santos de Silva (FA, 77)----J Valdivia (FA, 85)-----C Ramos Suarez (FA, 78)----L Melgarejo (Benfica transfer, 81)
X Shaqiri (Bayern Munich transfer, 86)-----C Coady (Liverpool transfer, 78)----G Gardner (Aston Villa transfer, 84)
----H Vuckic (Newcastle transfer, 81)-------C Calado (Scouted player, 80)---------Neymar (Santos transfer, 90)----

Notable bench players include:

A Rueda Ambrosio (FA, 74 [18yo, 5 star skills]) as a midfielder
R Cascione (Scouted player, 67 [17yo, 6'6'', 4 star weak foot, 4 star skills]) as a striker

Just got promoted to the Premier League as well. Paid 50 million for Neymar who accepted the first contract I put in front of him. Now all I have to do is learn how to do skill moves.

Got it at Christmas and have done a compete revolution at Chelsea, in with the new out with the old kind of thing and its working wonders. Have dominated Europe for years and have settled with 4-2-3-1. First transfer I made was Gotze for a decent 30m, hoping for a trio of Hazard, Mata and Gotze. Mata wasn't happy with the transfer so he asked for a transfer, Real Madrid offered 45 for him, I countered with 60 which was accepted. Used that money to buy Eriksen from Ajax.
Cech (89)
Ivanovic (83) - Lovren (86)- Badstuber (87) - Cole (80)
S Bender (C)(85) - De Bruyne (84)
Hazard (92) - Eriksen (86) - Gotze (90)
Cavani (90)

bench of:
Courtois, Howedes, Pjanic, Torres, Alderweireld, Oscar, Ananidze.

Hey guys I started a career mode with League 2 outfit York City, who, if Im not mistaken are the worst team in the game. We are now a 5 star powerhouse in second position in the premier league in the year 2016/17. I employed a strict transfer policy of not recruiting anyone over the age of 26/27 and especially utilising free agency in my rise up the lower leagues.

My current starting XI is as follows:

(* denotes youth/AI generated player)
I use the 4-4-2 wide diamond formation.

Yann Sommer (83)
Joe Riley (80)
Jean-Baptiste Bangoura* (89) (c)
Luca Caldirola (84)
Georgiy Schennikov (83)
Vurnon Anita (81)
Hėldon* (78)
Brek Shea (82)
Lewin Amadi-Holloway* (80)
Danny Welbeck (88)
Robert Lewandowski (86)

My grand goal is to win the champions league (which I was eliminated in the round of 16 by Benfica in my only attempt thus far) and a premier league title, I currently trail Man City by 7 points with 6 games remaining.

So, I started a pro career at Hull city, And got loaned out straight away to Barnet and as Flawed Genius stated, Their uniforms are atrocious.
Dominated the league winning the golden boot. We finished on top by like 5 points.
Went back to Hull to start my second season. My pro is rated 77 and I score 5 goals in the first 3 games.
Transfer offer from Real Madrid which I have accepted. They paid 18.5 mill for me. Hull said they could not refuse it. lol

At least this isn't their current home kit:

Guys I need some help or I'm going to lose the plot.

I've been in div 1 for around 10 seasons now but recently I got relegated to div 2 and now I could get relegated to div 3! I'm losing games 3-0, 4-0, 5-1 etc and my last 10 games have been like 2 wins 8 losses. My overall record is like 107-50-53 so this is unheard of for me.

I'm actually playing quite well and I'm taking soooo many shots yet the opposition goalkeeper is saving them all. I have like 10 shots and my opposition has 6 yet I lose the game like 5-1. When I take shots the ball falls to an opposition player yet when the other guy takes shots it falls to his own player and he scores with an empty goal.

Every single thing is going against me and I don't understand why. It's driving me nuts.

Because FIFA was designed by horrible people who hate humanity and are trying to encourage as many killing sprees as possible.

I'm guessing I'm a victim of the game scripting?
Everyone is a vitctim of the dreaded 90th minute scripted goal.. No one is safe. ;)

But seriously, I read the other day on a Fifa forum a very good explaination why it feels scirpted. This has helped me a bit recently to win a few World Class games:

"I'm not sure scripting is the word you are looking for. I'd say World Class is the highest difficulty I can consistently beat, but like every human in the world, when I play the CPU on high difficulty I'll maybe score every 8 shots even if I create good chances in the area, whilst the CPU will score maybe 1 in 3 shots of even higher. Why?

Because the AI only has two types of shot: a long shot that they'll never score with (When a player his long shot taker trait) and when they shoot when there is a very high chance they will score. Simply, the AI won't shoot unless they have a good sight of goal or are using a long shot taker, hence their very high conversion rate.

This in itself isn't the problem - the problem is that you are playing a computer - and it doesn't have reaction times - hence it is first to every second ball (including the ones your 'keeper has saved) and is able to play impossible seeming through passes through the tiniest gap in your defence without being offside - and THAT is why the AI only has two types of goal too; incredible passing move --> goal and tapping in a rebound.

So how do you beat the AI on really high difficulty? I always play a 5 man midfield at the expense of a striker and when I am on legendary/ultimate difficulty I will set the tactic to possession and defensive. I do not put much pressure on the ball until it is in my third, and I try to use contain for this whilst I control another player and keep him in position or mark a pass. The important thing is that you do not give them the chance to play the killer pass and eventually they will lump in a cross or a through ball which is very easy to defend against if you are still backing up. The only time you should pressure upfield is in their corner flag which often forces the AI to clear for your throw-in.

When you have the ball, the important thing to do is not to give it away cheaply. You will very quickly learn which passes are at risk from the superhuman interceptions of the AI on legendary/ultimate and to avoid these at all costs. Passes to your striker(s) at the wrong time are particularly dangerous. The good news is that, unless losing late on the game, the AI does not pressure the ball much, so keeping the ball is easy. If you do go to close the AI though, expect to be perfectly tackled every time.

Of course, keeping the ball is easy, scoring it is not. Distance shots will usually be blocked easily enough and the AI is very good at not only clearing crosses, but clearing to their own teammates and breaking! So don't cross unless the odds are in your favour. The easiest way to score for my money is to turn and shoot just in their area, doesn't always work but brings me must success. If you do take the lead, then keep possession! Wear down the clock because the AI can't hurt you when you are on the ball, and after 75 mins the AI will ramp up the pressure; now switch your tactics to counter-attack and hit them with pace, which is one thing the AI sucks with even on high difficulty.

The offline game isn't scripted, just very boring and formulaic to beat - but beatable nontheless"

I'm talking about online seasons though.

Missing like 4-5 one on ones with the keeper and then the guy goes and scores 2 arsey goals at the other end.

We've all been there. My favourite is when I hit the post four times in a half only for the opponent to put in a lobbed ball to his striker from one of his CBs. I switch players to my CB and he stops tracking the run - he just stops for a split second, allowing the striker through on goal. The opposition striker runs into a one on one with the keeper, toe-pokes the ball at 0.5km/hr and my GK dives over the top of the ball ten minutes later.

Then, just to rub it in, he does an obnoxious celebration and watches all the replays.

Haha, that opponent just sounds like me. I like doing the celebration where your player runs and just dropped dead on the floor.... Love to watch all the replays as well. ;)

Starts losing at FIFA - scripting.

I often apologize to my opponent when i win due to scripting, winning feels cheap when the game just gifts it to you.

I'm getting a problem on seasons, whenever i want to play a match it says 'there was a problem with the online squad check. Please try again later.' Anyone had this?
