I'm looking forward to the new FIFA 14 interface, especially career mode improvements. Plus I don't really care how great PES' gameplay is, because the lack of licensing just kills me

Do they still have players and teams with the wrong names? I haven't played the full version since about 2006 and haven't really noticed in the demos

I'm pretty sure Man City is Man Blue and Arsenal is North London etc

I cant speak on behalf of everyone else but that's not really what I want to be stuffing around with when I buy a new game.
 
Pass.. EA come out with this sort of crap revolutionary stuff every year yet the game is always full of bugs and no different then the previous years.

I got pissed and gave up on FIFA 13 after starting be a pro game then being selected for the socceroos after scoring one goal in my first practice match!!

I know the Socceroos haven't been going that well lately but that's just plain unrealistic.

Nope, it's all about them pushing the new engine and features right now.

What sort of info are you expecting anyway? It'll most likely function near exactly the same as it has been the last few years with the minor upgrades as usual.

Hopefully we get individual games back this year.

gave it a first go in fifa 13 so not sure what id expect or what individual games was lol. but the ability to purchase both coins and points with real money instead of just points would be nice
 
Buying because it's FIFA and there's dick all competition. Would appreciate EA just saying "We've pretty much added nothing but if you give us your money, we'll give you updated team lists and a chance to have an Ultimate Team market that's not worse than the Greek economy again."

Forgot about this thread! Don't think I've even made a post prior to this one, so I'll make sure to contribute as the current-gen release approaches.

In regard to the 'falling' of PES, their competitor, FIFA, began clawing its way back into contention back in 2006ish when the first Xbox/PS3 versions were released. If I recall, the first time I chose FIFA over PES was in 2008 (FIFA 09). The former destroyed the latter that year..And has been the more popular choice ever since.
 
PES was a near perfect game on PS2 and I still can't understand how they ****ed it up so much on the latest consoles. I got PES 2011 and thought all they needed to do was polish a few areas and it would be a quality game but in 2012 they changed the gameplay heaps and went backwards. I still enjoy it more than FIFA and think the animations are better but I fear FIFA will have a clear monopoly soon the way PES is going.

Still FIFA has never felt like a perfect football game to me. There are too many errors that are completely the games fault and not your own mistakes which is my main frustration. As well as the lack in variety of goals.
