In career mode, are the prices subject to rise with true form? I'm finding I'm a bit over ultimate team already - too much hype on EPL players, where you can buy very good bundesliga strikers and midfielders for a pittance

Also - what's the point of TOTW players - their stats only look like they improve +2 for each. Would upgrading a 75 rated player to the same stats as an 85 rated player give me the same ability on field?

They're rarer and a different colour. People go crazy over that.

Same as the EPL price premium. It all comes down to demand.

But does having a TOTW player make him worth the enormous price rise? Say, does Guendogan TOTW play that much better than guendogan gold? And would upgrading Dahoud to the same stats yield the same ability player, even though ratings are different?

The first IF for a player is generally not worth it, unless they are a lower rated gold from what I have found. not sure what you mean by 'upgrading' (training cards, chem styles?), but in theory if you had a Dahoud and a Gundogan with the same stats it would come down to things like work rates, height and skills/weak foot to determine which player works best for you.

Precisely chem styles and training. I've got a 75 rated Timo Werner with hawk chemistry, and upgraded dribbling and finishing - so he has now 90 pace and 88 for the other two

Well I got Alex Hunter done quickly. Also the SBC are worth it. I put in a 2k team and made 4k profit out of the pack.

Yeah, most of the SBC's are worth it if you work out the formula, use some of the easy to find solutions and you will run into price fixed players.

Paid 50 for Laca and 50 + Giroud for Lukaku

Asensio was about 18m and Douglas Costa was 25

Also, is anyone using the companion app? I've tried to download it but it's still telling Me I can't login as I didn't sign up for the early version or something and I have to wait until the game is released. Anyone getting that??

Work blocks the EA site so I can't login

I used to trade fulltime at work when it was quiet and I made a good 600k+ in gold.

In career mode is there a better way to search for players coming out of contract than just setting the search and hoping your scouts find someone?

I'm really liking the career mode but I think they've gone backwards on searching for particular players.

I just use FUTWIZ to find the highest potential players.
