Bought Adrian Ramos for 700 coins, and with my two 80 rated pacey wingers I'm just getting sweaty on the crosses into the box. I should be playing with proper tactics but it's just too much fun

Have gone from the club manager hero to the villain in only my first game of the second season. Aiming for back to back A-League championship wins, had to do some light work in the off season. Got rid of some stars for $$$$$$ replaced them with average players (in the hope of building them up and selling them at a profit at the end of next season or maybe in the future). In the process of doing that I blew the budget out massively lol and went from 85 to 44 "manager popularity". Position is now under review, at Melbourne Victory. Meanwhile I have accepted a job as team Canada manager, going to help them qualify for the world cup. Currently on an 8 win winning streak in A-League and undefeated in the international friendlies played thus far.

When I was adjusting the roster (45 minutes just adjusting contracts, transfers etc) I sold my best GK... when I was about to start the season I forgot to find a new one... had to scramble and found a few decent-ish (60's ratings) that will do while I hopefully build one up from the youth squad - onward. One player will probably retire at the end of the season while two others have cracked the sads over playing time, I can afford to lose them now though as I over loaded my squad and have replacements galore in case of injury .

I find playing these lower leagues not as enjoyable tho

Yeah it's why I gradually end up playing more than one career/manager mode and have multiple saves going at once. Fastest way to burn out playing the game, but one minute I want some EPL action, the next some Spanish or Italian.... Gotta play the home league though .

Had a ripper Real Madrid v Real Madrid online seasons match just before. The guy was all over me creating chances to score but failing to convert them. Just before half time I found an opening, took the ball from midfield, crossed it in and headbutted a goal . I should also point out that it was a real aggressive contest - on my part, I kept on doing sliding tackles, had 5 yellow cards in the first half alone .

Second half was much like the first he kept on getting the ball to his scoring end but would not score (my goalie doing his job!!). The funny thing is I thought he would rage quit based on him having so many chances to score while I scored in one of the few opportunities I had. I figure he stayed because he would eventually nail his shots and beat me.

Anyway things were getting heated I got 2 more yellow cards which led to an amusing moment, one of the few times I got the ball, managed to get it the box........ he trips me leading to a yellow card and a penalty kick for me............ which I connect to weakly BUT still score as it trickled along in the corner .

End up winning 2-0!

The injuries in this game are out of control. I've had four 1+ month injuries in my first five games. I've only had 1 game where a player didn't get a contact injury.

I dont think its any worse than previous, i am halfway through first season and only had 1 injury and it was for 3 wks. sometimes you get unlucky in career mode

That oxford kid (CB) from westham is a ripper cheat option for lower league career modes. Super high potential and grows pretty fast. Best thing he signs anywhere..well he signed for Adelaide United.

Anyone got a favourite cheap 1st signing for career they can recommend?

The injuries in this game are out of control. I've had four 1+ month injuries in my first five games. I've only had 1 game where a player didn't get a contact injury.

Yeah, I had several broken bones (sometimes for the same player) in my first season.

One game Giroud was on for two minutes, then copped a broken elbow and missed 2 months.

Yeah, I have a deep squad to cover injuries. But the bullshit injuries that kept occurring were incredibly annoying.

Got like 10 total players not in the 11. So when the cup matches come round, im usually running a few guys into the ground

Oh and neymar broke his ankle in the first game... out for 8 weeks. Just about lost me shit

10 games into my Newcastle career and yet to have a player miss games.

I thought it would, pretty funny. I realise that this is because these are the players that are used in the cut scenes, but surely they could have just got one or two real players from each team to use in these roles

we got into div 5 last night on the back of a epic 4-4 draw in the last game where we needed 1 point for promotion.

one game we played a team who had 11 actual players, it was unbelieveable.

Had an epic game where I was sure I was going to cruise to victory, jumped to a 3 - 0 lead by half time. Opposition pegs 1 goal back in the first minute, gets the second half way through and draws level with stuff all time left on the clock (grrr I was not happy). I had replaced 3 players that had stuff all stamina left (including one of my strikers whom the replacement striker is a bronze level player - this is me trying to balance the team so I don't waste any better gold players games by sitting as a substitute).

Resigned to it being a draw, I took possession of the ball at the kick off, passed it around twice before taking that bronze level player on a run, side stepped two defenders, had a shot at goal and scored . Biggest fluke ever, but I'll take the win.

Got Ribery (walkout) , Morata and Carvajal in a SBC challenge pack that I did. Sold Ribery for 45k. Just need 2 more squads and I've finished all the advanced ones.

In career I have given myself a challenge by mistake. Getting rid of players that are too demanding in game time requests AND those that want more money in their deals. I have also transferred a lot of the "star" players to new teams freeing my transfer budget up a bit. Now my team only have a few decent players in the 11...... but it has made overall games much more closer. Going from 2-1, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0+ results. To every game since (4 of them) being tightly contested wins or last gasp draws. Spewing in a way as I was on a 14 game winning streak before this happened.

Scored my first goal from a free kick, a bit outside of the goalie box..... curved it in the top right corner, goalie had no chance.
