Can't really see retail stores selling it from the 25th, surely that counts as early release/breaking street date?

It's leaked in Germany and France so hopefully they let it go elsewhere. I only play career mode and don't care about Ultimate Team, but I'm keen for this one for some reason after I skipped 18. Even though they barely update anything.

The Mestalla and Westfalenstadion (Signal Iduna park) being back in the game is reason enough for me plus the Champions and Europa League licenses.

Also, corners are so much better. Doesn't feel like a 1 in 100 chance scoring from them now.

Corners were terrible in 18. Didn't have any corners in the demo games i played. How is it different?

Winning headers actually feels like it's fair game. Keeper doesn't go for every ball now either. Your players move around a bit too.

I played a couple of the games and it and the players position themselves more like they do in real life instead of just stick to their formation in previous games.

Noticed this as well. AI is way better. Players press together and hold better lines.

Champs edition is only $88 on Amazon with free release day delivery. No idea how reliable the delivery will be but that's what it says and it's heaps cheaper than in store.

I really don't think spending the extra coin for the jumbo packs is worth the money.

If it included some sort of other content than just being able to play it a few days early eg: FIFA points or even starting with 50k coins then it would be.

for nba2k19 we got both 100kVC and 50,000 MT points and getting the game early so it was worth it for that alone.

Was looking to get into ultimate team as I've never really dabbled in it, and when I do its too late where I have a crap team coming up against a beast team

I got suckered into that last year, got the Ronaldo edition for a few days early access. Ended up giving away the codes for UT on Bigfooty and barely even got to play it between those few days. Waste of money unless you're seriously into UT

I just have no interest in UT. It's mostly made for kids and Arab teenagers wanting to call everyone gay and dab on them with Ronaldo. It's also devoid of realism and being a nerd, the reason I like playing FIFA is this alternate, guided realism of using an established club with actual players at their proper ground.

I didn't get 18 but I'll get this release day. Keen for Fulham for 4-5 years. Then try and go across France, Scotland, wherever else for a year or two each and try and win leagues then Champions Leagues with formerly massive/always shit clubs (RC Lens, Lyon, etc etc).

When I have them I always short pass them and try to dribble in unless I have a Ronaldo/Ramos at the near post then I’ll target them.

It feels like it’s down to just luck to score them.

The other thing to factor in though is that the packs are spread out across 20 weeks, you will get more coin value out of the extra 50 bucks buy opening packs earlier. Having said that though I’ve gone the amazon option as it is just too good to pass up.

I plan on buying the ultimate edition on Xbox.... contemplating the pc version as well - haven't played Fifa on pc for a few years!!

I skipped 17 on regular console, but did buy the Switch version as I wanted to experience hand held Fifa .

I did similar with Fifa 17, the Ultimate Edition was a spur of the moment purchase. Figured since I had the EA Access subscription (got 10% off the game because of that) and they give an extra 10% off if you have the previous year's Fifa as a game you've previously played. I only had to pay $104 in Xbox credit (which itself was paid for in under $100). Bit of wiggling involved but it was worth it. Even though I didn't end up getting into FUT as much as I had previously.

Played some more last night.

Most entertaining I played was vs United with Juventus. Won only 1-0 but both teams had some good chances.

Smashed Dortmund 3-0 with City, had 19 shots to 0 as well. Both games on professional.
