Kounde - Cost me a fortune but he's fantastic.
St Juste - Cheap 3rd CB with redic pace, like him
Gerson - I wanted a left footed CM and payed up for this guy as couldn't afford Lemar. He is awful. So slow and can't shoot. Signed in Jan and will be sold asap.
Sarr - Probably payed too much but I like a name signing over the wonder kids. He's done alright but can't dislodge Lucas out of the team.
Yilmaz - I just liked him at Lille last season. Big slow striker but man he kicks some crackers in the cup games.

Also signed Gavi from Barca (cheap and has shown a bit).

Raspadori/Damsgaard I've considered. How have they gone for you? No idea how I'll ever afford him but I really want Chiesa.

Kane is leading the golden boot. Heung-min Sonaldo not far behind and still just way too good in FIFA. Ndombele is an assist god/plus chips in with plenty of goals.

I am playing on legendary and the game is pulling bullshit out of its arse. I was 3-1 up against Everton, they scored 86 and 89 (second goal outside of the box and in off the bar), they just ping it round and it's impossible to get it. They barely misplace passes so I think I might adjust the passing slider slightly to up their error proneness. Their pressure is immense too. It is very satisfying winning on legendary, feels very earnt.

I really want Kounde - how much did you pay? They say he is valud between 55m and 80m so might do the old player + remaining value for a transfer.

Some decent signings in their though. Gavi is not in my game - though I did start my career on release day so maybe that's why.

Both have been OK. Raspadori is not good enough to play regularly (though he did finish the season on 78 overall), but seems rubbish in comparison to Auba lol. Damsgaard was decent enough, I only paid around 20m so good price considering he goes to 86.

All my loanees IRL have come who I plan on selling - Bellerin, Saliba, Mavraponos, Torreira, Guendouzi, Nelson. Board gave me 176m so that plus what I generate in sales should allow me to fix up the squad.
 
Man watching people pack Messi and Neymar makes me so jealous. This is probably the 6th FIFA ive purchasd and never packed one of the big 3.
 
After trying out a lot of CAM/ST icons I've finally found one I like in mid Suker, feels agile dribbling with the lean build but is still tall enough to score headers, has nice long shots and has 4* WF.

The others I tried were:

Base Stoichkov, was decent but struggled with finishing a bit and felt useless in the air.

Mid Drogba, scored a lot of goals in the air but felt horrible on the ball + finesse shots weren't good.

Base Shevchenko, just wasn't good enough passing but did other stuff well.

Mid Socrates, I thought he'd be really good but similarly to Drogba the low balance is a killer, just feels so clunky.

Sold off the ~35 Keylor Navas and Luis Suarez cards i bought for 10k last week for 16k last night. Bronze pack method is also paying off, have racked up almost 100k a day over the past week and a bit from doing it (isolation gives me plenty of time).

And then went and packed Kante tradeable from one of the Wijnaldum SBC sections this morning lol. He goes straight into my team which is looking prefect to me.

Everyone is packed except for Messi, Mbappe, Son and Hakimi, they've risen 350k combined from when I bought each of them.

Going to put whatever coins i have left into 84s as they are selling for 1300-1400 coins which is just above the min BIN 1200. Its nearly impossible to not make profit from it once a desireable sbc comes out.

I went a bit nuts in the window lol. I did move back down to WC but it's too easy so hopefully with a better squad I do better on legendary. You were right about Kounde, he is awesome!

Haha I was going to reply when I got through my next transfer window, played a few games but still a little off the seasons end. I'm 1 point above UTD after a city loss/everton draw. I won an epic FA cup rnd 3-2 against City with a Kane hattrick so was nice to give them some payback.

I get ya with the difficulty. You drop 1 level and all of a sudden you win 5-0 every game, so annoying. I've never altered the sliders before as feel like I'll ruin the game I dont know ha. I have to play very cagey on legendary.

Arsenal have so many more decent players to sell. I'm hoping come the window I get given some funds. Was Tomiyasu no good? Has decent potential. Hadn't heard of Geertruida, an upgrade?

I want Nuno Mendes but already have Regulion/Sessegnon (sold Davies) so it'd be hard to justify.

How is Raphinha? Worth the coin?
 
Easily the best squad I've had at this point in the game, Benzema will be on 8 chem by the time I'm done with my changes. Goes to a 4 1 2 1 2 in game. Benzema's long shots are mental. I have Alisson in goal, but forgot to swap him in for this picture

I restarted a few games late last season just because the computer was pulling shit out of nowhere and it was absolute bullshit. Very nice, hopefully you can win. The board gave me 178m for transfers + whatever I made in sales.

Yeah, it is fun winning the odd game 5-0, but I went on a run where I won 5-0, 5-2, 6-1, 7-1. It got boring quickly. I've only increased the computer's passing error (54) and first touch error (53) and it already comes across as a bit better. I played Leeds this morning and won 4-1, though they had something like 135 passes to my 94 or something. I probably run more with the ball, but the computer pings it around madly and it isn't really enjoyable when you can't get the ball when you have much superior players.

TT has PA 85 but yeah he is pretty average. Weak, can't cross (I played him RB), can't head, not a great dribbler, poor defensive awareness. Geertruida goes to 84, I search players here - https://www.futwiz.com/en/fifa22/career-mode/players You can filter however you like.

Raph seems good but only played 1.5 games with him so hard to judge properly, but think he will be good.

My team has changed more since that last post too lol

packed Salah untradeable hence the right side.
Plays 4-2-2-2 in game with Salah and Dybala up front.
It feels like i really should be winning more, this team really suits my gamestyle (high possession, left stick dribbling, strong defense) but i dont know.

Going with a La Liga Serie A hybrid to start my competitive play. Change to either the 4321, 4411 and 433 (4) in game with Benzema up front obviously.

The left side will get mixed around a bit, will alternate with TOTW Tonali, Insigne and POTM Koula at LB on 8 chem and switch him and Alaba in game with Alaba playing LB or go with Rashford and Telles.

How much money do you have / what tactics are you using?

I haven’t tried it in this FIFA but last year I found 4-2-2-2 to be really awful defensively.

for 4-2-2-2 i have both st's on get in behind and stay forward. cdm's on cover centre and stay back. full backs on stay back and overlap.

i swap to 4-1-2-1-2 narrow sometimes too but Fabinho/Kessie really can't play cm and it means i have to play Felipe Anderson as an attacking cm. I think i just really need another genuine mid.

I play one more defensive and one all round in the CDM roles, IF Barella w Engine is insane for me in the latter, can turn and sprint past pretty much anyone pressuring you.
 
Anyone sunk much time into create-a-club in Manager mode yet? Was waiting for the patch before I create one; have heard of a few bugs with it (eg. youth squad gets wiped out every off-season, kit issues etc.)
 
Oh also ImissFrosty I’d change it so one of the strikers is get back on defence and one of the CAMs is stay forward, so that in defence it’s a 4-4-1-1 / 4-2-2-1-1 which makes it easier to link up when you get the ball back as there won’t be a huge gap.

holy shit that's genius. i keep turning it over out of defence because the gap between my cdm's and cam's is so big and i'm not gonna dribble with Fabinho. thanks dude, i'll try it out

It really is shocking. They have started off bad with evaluating SBCs. For someone like me who is First Owner, makes it real tough when you can't pack anyone and the SBCs are shocking value lol
