Footage there shows some pretty average coward acts. Stomping on someone being held down, then some absolute dog of a weak campaigner takes a big swing (lucky miss) at the back of the bald guys head whilst he’ on the ground then promptly runs away like the campaigner coward he is.

There isn't even enough room in the coaches box or the rooms of the visiting team. Kudos to the MFC supporters who attended.

And that is why I'd prefer to watch footy at home on my plasma TV in front of the heater on a nice comfortable couch and with a few beers/ platter of foods on the side table. Can go to the toilet with no line. Yell as much as I want and best of all can turn it off.

lol, it must be something about those terraces and Melbourne fans.

I was at a Geelong v Melbourne game there years ago. The crowd was pretty sparse and I bumped into a heap of old school mates, so we caught on on life while the game was unfolding.

There was a young Melbourne supporter, probably early 20s, who just drank and got more abusive as the day wore on, he was a pain in the arse. In the last quarter with the Dees in front he was absolutely insufferable. Not really any profanities but just loud, constant and annoying to everyone within 30 metres of him.

Geelong got a run on, and Kent Kingsley, of all people, kicked 4 or 5 in the last to kick the Cats home. A couple of us decided to let the Dee supporter know how happy we were with this turn of events. He turned violent straight away.

You'd never hear a complaint from me if they banned the grog at the footy.

I was at the Cattery for the Freo final loss, felt safe to me, although couple of Freo fans were getting very lippy/antagonistic post match and it was suggested to them to keep quiet.

IMO, these situations rarely have someone innocent involved, which leads too.

Just to add... crime from African immigrants/refugees account for 1% of crime in Victoria (true stat).... but it gets at least half or more of the media coverage (estimated stat).

Get to the bottom of the story first though before banning both sides. If there was an instigating side that threw a first punch well then people have a right to defend themselves when attacked and fight back.

But if both parties truly are both at fault then fair enough, ban them all.

That's a nanny state response that this country doesn't need any more of. Just ban the dickheads and leave the rest of normal society to enjoy a drink at the footy.
