It has been alleged that a Norwood player used John Hopoate-like tactics to stir up Magpie captain Darryl Poole and Ryan O'Connor last Friday night.

This story won't go away. I think there is something in it. KG and Cornsey don't want to discuss it on their show and Poole didn't play this week due to (Buttock).
Does anyone know who the player was.

I've heard from a couple of different sources that the 'Hopoate' was used by Craig Balme on Tim Evans in the 84 grand final, the trigger for the pre-game fight.

Wouldn't surprise me.. they're a bunch of weirdos at Norwood.

You can bet it would have been the fantasy of that james/ronald guy giving it the hopoate action.

As for craig balme - what a fu(king tool. The first SANFL player to be sent off for being reported twice in the one match. For knocking out negri then for spitting on the WEED when he realised he'd have to watch his back for the rest of the game so took the early shower option.
