Correct me if i am wrong but didn't Andrew Carrazzo win a B&F playing that same exact role? He was our best clearance player last year so hopefully he gets his chance as part of the rotation in the Mid.

This gets him out of the BP position where he is terrible and where Browne can fill for him.

And the sooner russell is out of the side and off the list the better!!

All jokes aside I do see the positives he brings in hardness but I cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that when we play a quality mid field his opponent creams him it is simply unsustainable and until he either a) becomes more accountable or b) gets more damaging / gets more of the ball he cannot take up a position in our elite mid field group.

Our number 1 asset is the mids and he is regularly exposed.

Once again I have to tell you his opponent does not cream him - tell me again who you think was on him at Geelong lol. Sydney's Bolton creamed him for half the 3rd Q - it was sensational too from memory (have not got that far in replay yet) but he was getting some nice ruck assistance

He has not been regularly exposed - once again I promise you he has had 4 good games 5 serviceable and 3 poor (remember I follow him closer than all of you - purely because I said I would). The biggest exposure in our 'number 1 asset' is that Judd has to do too much in and under and apart from patches Stevo has only showed he is anything more than an outside player in one game

The fact is that your b) has to be the option - I have said it before: there is no point playing AB if you do not tell him to back himself in the stoppages

If the MC want a) they need to find themselves a tagger (plus a hard nut to help Juddy and the kids)

i would have liked to have seen russel droped so that hampson could come in. we could have played kruzer up forward to give him a bit of a break from rucking and allowed hampson to ruck with cloke. and im disapointed armfield isnt included. has shown potential in the games hes played so far.

We'd be far too top heavy with at least two of Kreuzer, Hampson, Cloke, Austin and Hartlett clogging up places on the bench at any given time.

It will be interesting next week against the crows, I suspect AB will get another go unless we win handsomely this week. Without a Bullants game though he may not get a chance to put his name up there.

Definately a good move by ratts, time to experiment and give some opportunities to brown and armfield.

Gives a chance for scotland to stay in the middle and provide some toughness to help juddy out.

Carrazzo's worrying me, he gets exposed down back in the air and his not quick enough to play on those dangerous quick small forwards. Hopefully, he can hold a position down in the middle again and maybe assume the bentick role. Otherwise, I cant see a role for carrazzo in our side, hopefully im wrong

It's a joke that Bentick plays two or three bad games (and gets dropped, despite being the only help for Chris Judd), yet Russell has bad game after bad game and keeps his spot. I can understand Armfield not playing due to lack of match fitness and sharpness, but why is Hampson not playing?

The disappointing part is that I thought he may have turned the corner in the last Q against Sydney.

In the 4thQ he had 8 possies. He only played 52% of the game and had 14 overall - only our ruckman had more clearances and only Carrots more inside 50's. So overall I thought he redeemed himself in the end
