Final Teams for Queens Birthday

Im going to defend Bell, some of his work off the ball was very good especially around stoppages. As well as that some of his touches to link up through the middlge were also good. He will probably be getting delisted at the moment, but at least give him a few games before we rip into him.

Exactly. Bailey is playing him for a few games to give him a chance to show a bit.

I don't really have a problem with Bell playing over Bennell, I'm a big Bennell fan but I think people are overrating him a little at the moment.

Also need to remember that he is a very capable player, just look at his 2007 form (pretty sure it was 07, memory a bit hazy at the moment) where he was one our best and most consistent players. Hopefully he get can back to that kind of form and prove that he really is worthy of getting a new contract.

Bennell out? Unless hes injured this is just silly. Bailey states they select the team by form, obviously not the case if they giving Bennell a miss??

Well right, but as far as I can see, this season is about development, experimentation, at least in some ways, and importantly, sorting out which of our somewhat older players represent the future of MFC, as opposed to those who end up missing the cut. And that sorting-out job has to be done properly.

I can definitely understand the selection of Bell over Bennell in this context.

I get your point MD, but reckon you're being a bit hard on Miller there. If he can sort out this huge weakness of his- the funk he seems to go into too often when it comes to set shots, I think he could be a big asset into the future, particularly since he brings more to the table as well, in terms of his workrate and leadership qualities.

So excited, I want tomorrow to come already.

If you haven't decided whether your coming along, defiantly come. This is a Melb home game and we want 70k+.

Bar none? What about Brad "I play like Alistair Nicholson Only in the Forward Line" Miller

Never mention big Al's name again.
Miller is not that bad, hes no superstar but hes a good honost player

Drunk posting is not advisable.

Hmm I can understand that. Not sure what your thoughts of this, but i dont think Bell has anymore to offer MFC and the club should know this by now.

Also Queens birthday clash is probably our biggest game in the year, and i would of thought MFC would want to play our best team possible to give us all the chances to win the game, put aside experimentation for 1 game of the year surely.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily true - as Dez pointed out, in 2007 Bell was amongst our best and most consistent players, and you'd hope that he could return to a level close enough to this.

Obviously, if he doesn't get back to form again, he probably won't make the cut.

Hey Simon... I think the OP on this thread is the final team mate.
