accurate reporting from a h/s jurno ? wow will wonders ever stop stop using his name fellers if the hun find out he will be sacked. lol brilliant read hope this standard continues

Great read - Jack is prone to some poor onfield behaviour at times but it definitely gets blown out of proportion by the media and neutrals.

No matter Jack, you're a champ and you have a huge Tiger army that adores you. We're lucky to have you :thumbsu:

Well done to Sam Edmund, definitely worth the read given he obviously put some research and effort into that article.

Pretty much this.

To me, it was nothing new - I'm sure most tigers see Jack as a great bloke, who is passionate about his footy and his team, much like richo was before him. Its the media and the opposition who make a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to his on-field antics. Good to see it finally reported as such. :thumbsu:

Fantastic Read.

I give it 4 out of 5

Well done to Sam Edmund & also Jack - all Tiger supporters love you!

As for Dwayno & McClueless - absolute wastes of space!

This is some pretty edgy sports journalism. Researching and reporting facts. Positive ones at that.

Let's hope more journailsts follow suit. I wont be holding my breath.

Good article this, but it just highlights the sort of rubbish Jack has to put up with.

It lists what Jack has achieved: "two Coleman medals, an All-Australian, best-and-fairest and his club’s leading goalkicker in each of the past four years"

But what does Mark Maclure have to say: “It’s about time he actually stood up himself and did something,”

I'm left kinda speechless and I can't blame Jack for wanting nothing to do with it!

Great article.

"Maclure wouldn’t comment this week, but said his comments were based on years of watching Riewoldt closely."

Fair dinkum Maclure. It's about time you stood up and did something.

"No personalities in footy anymore"

Player shows some passion and character

"What a prima donna, what a drama queen. He shouldn't be doing that sort of stuff"

I ****ing hate McClure he just about sums up why I hate Carlton, what a bone head. Richmond vs Everyone else, if your not a tiger then **** off.

Most commentators can barely commentate let alone play psychologist. If you don't like what you see a player exhibiting on the field, you've every right to make your opinion heard but when you start digging at the person, questioning their character based on the perspective you get sitting half a kilometre away in a glass box you're a fool.

He is an easy target for fans and the media due to his passion. The game is full of robots nowadays and jack is one who can put his hand up as an individual. Not quite like Jacko but still fun to watch.

Good read Sam :thumbsu:

Yeah, I noticed that "years of watching Riewoldt" line too.

I have one suggestion as to what Maclure could do (well, I have two suggestions, but there are rules about what you can say in the forums :)) --when he watches Jack from now on he could do it with his eyes open!

Which is funny because after the Round 1 Game last year when Jack went goal less, McLure called him lazy saying he didn't do enough, but he admitted saying he hasn't watched him closely enough to see exactly what his role is in the side. So how can he say that, and then say he has watched him for years?

Can't say I take much of what McClure says with any seriousness. But when it comes to JR he isn't alone in making ridiculous comments........Good read about Jack in the Hun. Not sure I ever thought I'd be saying those words. But credit where it's due.
