These 7 wins will get us into the finals any thing else will be a bonus.
Cats and Bulldogs might be gettable towards seasons end and if so then WOW!

I'm with you. Freo have to lose sooner or later. And we beat them in 2023 after the now famous Sheezel toepoke. That has to count for something. I definitely think we're a chance. The bookies have us under $4. That means we're a chance. We were at $3.** before the Gold Coast game. And we're coming off the bye.

We don't play well outdoors, our worst performances this season (West Coast at Perth, Geelong at Kardinia and Adelaide at Adelaide) have all been at roofless stadiums. We have a genuine opportunity to reverse our recent poor performance with games against West Coast, Richmond and Port Adelaide where we will start as favourites and should take the points. The other outdoor games against Fremantle, Hawthorn and Sydney (the three top ranked teams this season) are games where we will be longshots and the best we can hope for is we don't bleed big quarters or halves like we did against Geelong and Adelaide. I think we can win 3 out 6 outdoor games.

We do play very well indoors, and in fact we have even troubled some of the better teams under the roof at Marvel. Of the six games remaining at Marvel, Essendon should be a comfortable win, Collingwood, Melbourne and St. Kilda are all very winnable and the Dogs and Cats are long shots but an upset win is possible. If we can snag two of the winnable games against Collingwood, Melbourne or St. Kilda that will give us 3 wins from the 6 remaining games at Marvel Stadium games and 6 wins from our final 12 games of the season, leaving us with a 11-12 record at the end of the regular season, which may be enough to earn a wildcard spot.

At the start of the season, I would have taken that with both hands, but after our most recent comeback performance and the confidence our Joeys will take from that game, I'm now thinking that perhaps 12 or even 13 wins is a possibility if could win all three games against the Pies, Dees and Saints and/or snag an upset against the Cats or Dogs. It's an outside possibility, but who knows how far a little confidence will take these kids.
