Is there not 4000 cats fans seriously p!ssed off right now.fully paid up members been their The last 42/43 games they have watched their team win at Simonds. Now their home final will miss out when they know if it were held at Etihad they would get a ticket? Anyway 4000 is about 12% allocation which is fair by me, there would be less at a normal home game for the Cats and all of them would be die hard passionate Freo supporters, reckon the noise generated would turn into 8000, if Freo are winning it will be like 12000. Everyone assumes Freo are going to lose, embrace the underdog status Freo fans. Hawkins 60%, Blicavs groggy and Motlop clearly isn't 100%.

When booking the ticket tomorrow, will it ask you at some stage if you want to sit with other Freo members? And do you get to choose the seat, or just "next best available" thing? So, if you want category one, you can get the more expensive seats?

Just to clear it up if someone can.
For me i've pretty much decided to buy a ticket through ticketec and forward the online PDF to whoever. Then who ever gets it can pay to my bsb and acc. I know my name will be on the ticket but shouldn't present a problem.
By giving the barcode to someone, that someone needs the name of the owner ? Will the ticket have the owners name ? or is the bar code all that is required.

I would say its just best available. I doubt you will get to choose your seat. Also I believe all tickets bought with Freo memberships will be sitting reasonably close.

The bolded tell me you don't understand the rules of your allocation.
You won't stop any Cat fans getting to the game because the tickets you buy are part of YOUR allocation.
Hence if you buy tickets and deliberately not go you are stopping FELLOW FREO supporters from going.
In other words from a Cats perspective it is win/win, AFL get their money and we have a vast majority of fans.

I don't advocate the buy and don't go - I don't want to protest people missing out by making more people miss out.

However the theory is buy up all of allocation so no left over allocation is made available to what is very likely to be Geelong supporters.

Now shouldn't you be making up more stories about our board back on the Cats board? You know how we think the KP game is just like the Ling-Solomon incident?

From a security consideration , is it smart to supply your member number and barcode number to another person ?

What is to prevent them from using that information in an unauthorised manner to get another ticket later in this finals series or in future years for that matter?

Nothing (although next year you'll get a different barcode). So if you hand out your barcode, make sure you trust whoever you're giving it to.

The reality is they'd need to log on quicker than me to get a ticket. I typically get mine in the first few minutes they come out. I'm not really worried.

A couple of last minute tips:
* Make sure you are already a registered ticketmaster user.
* Have your barcodes typed out in a text editor so you can just cut and paste when the inevitable happens and you need to start the process from scratch.
