I'm not so sure. The Hawks operate by generating space and working into it with short kicks. Freo close down that space incredibly well. Hawks also turned the ball over quite a bit last night, and Freo will just accentuate that. Provided they kick better than they are tonight I reckon they're a real chance.

I hope so, but I reakon they will bog themselves (like they did in the first quarter tonight). Freo are my 'second side' only because of South Fremantle Bulldogs, but it's so depressing to think they might win a premiership before we do (that we have been around to witness, I mean). Then again, don't want the Hawks to win either.

I'm the opposite actually - watching a team that has the "underdog" status so firmly entrenched win the premiership would give me so much faith that one day we can do it. It's a little disappointing, yeah, but I'm going to be very happy if they win it for that very reason.

Plus I hate Hawthorn.

Couldn't be any more true. And the Eagles always use the how many Premierships has Fremantle won card. Pretty sure Fremantle have been in the league a few years less than the Eagles and probably didn't get as much of a leg up to start with. Pretty sad when its the best card you have to use.

Gee normally prelims you get good close games, this has the makings of one of the all time prelim beltings, hardly surpassing though, as I've said all year Freo is the perfect finals team, big strong midfielders who constantly win contests and clearances and relentless pressure
