I'm still clapping off Freo from 2003

we got some massive scores that year:
R4 167-122 win over the roos
R6 131-100 win over the Bombers
R7 155-72 win over the Bullies
R8 123-82 win over the Saints
R10 127-99 win over the blues
R20 133-77 win over the bullies
and another 2 times we reached 100. It was the Medhurst, Pavlich, and Longmuir show.
Doesn't even feel like a possibility anymore kicking those kind of scores.

I'm behind Adelaide I hope they go all the way! Mainly due to the emotional reasons; after the murdered coach and now big Sammy Jacobs losing his brother.

In the afl the two sydney teams swans or giants doesn't bother me.

For those interested in league get behind the fairytale in the mighty Parramatta eels in the nrl. We haven't won a comp in 31 years so i haven't seen any of my teams win a comp in my lifetime.

When you include freo.

I hope GWS win. I guess it's a minority view but I agree with the AFL that the sport needs to be a success in Sydney in order to survive in the long term.

Apart from that I just hope West Coast lose by 150 points.

For my sanity, I am hoping that Adelaide win the premiership for the simple reason that they play the best football. They're a reminder of what a high scoring team is like and they also have a reasonable defense as well.

Overall though, I am getting pumped up for the A-League (Go Victory) and WNBL (Go Dandenong) and really it won't bother me as much as the Bulldogs winning last year did.

there is only one reason why I don't want the crows to win. Nothing personal towards the crows.

When Freo were decent from 2013-15 everyone talked about the premiership standard where you have to score at least 100 points a game and concede less than 86 points game.

This year only the crows reached that standard scoring 109.7 points and conceding 80.7 . Take away the crows and 8th placed west coast who scored 89.27 for and 85.25 against, the rest of the teams average 94-98 points for and 76-82 points against.

Bulldogs won the flag last year scoring 84 points a game and conceding 72. Freo in 2013 were averaging 93 points a game and conceding 68.

Sydney were robbed last year. they deserve it this year.

Can't say particularly care, but I must admit there is a bit of this in my thinking too.

Also, I tipped them to be a smoky for the flag back when they were in 12th at 3-7 odd. It's nice to be right occasionally

They have the replace guys like Priddis and Mitchell. Further they are away from elite mids the better

Was thinking this the other day, they are a decent chance this week imo but winning wouldn't be all bad as it would encourage them to still think they are not far off again and just wallpaper over the cracks.

GWS - purely for the MDB factor
Richmond - I do feel for their fans alot, although I suspect that will change if they win
Sydney - Would be an amazing effort to come back from 0-6
PA - I dunno, non-Victorian I guess?
Geelong - Too much success lately, would be my bottom pick in any other year
Essendon - For some reason I've got heaps of Essendon mates who were insufferable before the drug scandal, morons during it, and just plain unbearable now
WC - Kill me now.
