Strategy Finals eligible players

Did something similar this time last year for eligibility, will keep this updated. Basically VFL qualification rules are:

1. Must have played at least 1 game at either level.
2. Must not have played more than 12 games at AFL level.
3. If player has played 12 games at AFL level and at least 1 after July 1st he must have played a minimum of 6 VFL games.
4. As an exception to the above rule, if a player has missed 10 consecutive VFL games he will be deemed eligible for finals.

Players potentially eligible:

8. Martin Gleeson: Has qualified for finals.
12. Mark Baguley: Has qualified for finals.
14. Jordan Ridley: Has qualified for finals.
15. Jayden Laverde: Needs 1 more VFL game.
16. Josh Begley: Has qualified for finals.
19. Kobe Mutch: Needs to not play AFL again.
22. Irving Mosquito: Has qualified for finals.
23. David Myers: Has qualified for finals.
24. Jordan Houlahan: Has qualified for finals.
30. Brandon Zerk-Thatcher: Has qualified for finals.
32. Noah Gown: Has qualified for finals.
33. Brayden Ham: Has qualified for finals.
34. Jake Long: Has qualified for finals.
36. Michael Hartley: Has qualified for finals.
37. Dylan Clarke: Has qualified for finals.
39. Trent Mynott: Has qualified for finals.
40. Will Snelling: Has qualified for finals.
41. Ben McNiece: Has qualified for finals.
46. Tom Jok: Has qualified for finals.
49. Matthew Dea: Has qualified for finals.

We have 10 already qualified for finals now. Gleeson and McNiece can all qualify against Port Melbourne next Sunday. Ridley can almost do it the same (given the 3 days between the VFL and the AFL game the next round), Jok and Myers similar. At this stage it's looking very unlikely that Langford, Francis and Baguley qualify, Begley if he gets dropped this week like some think (not me, mind) probably qualifies. Still yet to work out the qualification rules surrounding Snelling are.

So we currently have 12 players eligible. There are another 13 who could be eligible (5 of whom I doubt). Of the other 8 that haven't:

Ridley: Unlikely to play against GWS. If he also misses Sydney and Norf he qualifies.
Begley: Realistic yes, but basically needs 2 VFL games which if his form hold is unlikely.
Stewart: Expect him to miss this week which would make him eligible.
Mutch: Fell two games short of missing the 10 straight VFL games, which means he needs to play 5 of the last 8 VFL games (which is stupid in and of itself).
Clarke: Has to play 4 of the last 8 VFL games or not play AFL after this round.
Myers: If he isn't included for Guelfi then he needs to play against Werribee and miss 3 more AFL games.
Snelling: Fairly sure the SANFL games will count given he was a mid season draftee from another league. Still, unlikely to play IMO.
Jok: Doubt he plays AFL but 2 more VFL games gets him there.

Okay, so we're down to:

Baguley: Looks cooked so one more fairwell game at most.
Ridley: Needs to miss one more game, so almost there.
Begley: See Ridley
Mutch: Injury probably cooks him for an AFL game so should be fine
Myers: See Begley
Snelling: One more VFL game
Jok: Same as before.

Already have 17 qualified for finals, with 3 players likely to also qualify. I'm unsure on Stewart's likelihood of returning for finals though

Jok has qualified, Baguley only missing an AFL game away from doing so as well, which would give us 20 possible AFL listed players to choose from (barring injury).

What are the rules on how many you can have, 12 & 10 if the senior side is out?
If you have 22 AFL listed players eligible they can play.

So we now can have a maximum of 20 qualified for finals if the seniors miss, of those Mutch is unlikely to be fit come finals time and Laverde has to play the last two games.
