If the Eagles win two games of the remaining three, we would need any two of:

- Fremantle to lose all three games
- Kangaroos to lose two games
- Sydney to lose two games
- Essendon to lose two games

Most likely if we win all three we will be in, but if we lose all three we'll be out.

You would imagine you blokes would beat Carlton and probaly Melbourne
and we would lose to Geelong and St kilda therefore depending on who wins the derby to finish above the other unless theres a big turnaround in percentage. You blokes should start the derbys favourite and if ya keep playing the good footy your playing you should win but derbys are allways hard to pick.

Melbourne is a bit of a bogey side for us. On top of that they are a quality side and we'll play them a week after the derby which will most likely be a bruising encounter.

They have a half decent record in Perth too - in the "on" years that is.

well basically, i think it'll come down to this;

win 0 games, 10th
win 1 game, 9th or 10th.
win 2 games, 7th or 8th.
win 3 games, 6th or 7th.

given we have 3 games at Subi we are more likely to be in one of the two bottom groups :)

Hate to say this, but i'm going to find myself going for one of the most hated teams in the AFL on friday night! Go the Pies! If Essendon loses friday night, the more chance we are of the finals if we dont manage to win the derby..
I think the brand of footy we're playing will beat freo

We beat Melbourne last year over here, plus they don't travel that well.
We're a real chance especially after today - now we've won 5 of the last 6 games.

Can't stop smiling - watching the game again on tape tonight :)

My thoughts too, and we should not discount that Melbourne beat us here, I think last year too. The derby is crucial to our chances, we really can't afford to lose any matches if we are fair dinkum.

Agreed we shouldn't be cocky. But, we beat Melbourne twice last year:

ROUND 6 (MCG)
Melbourne 14. 10. (94) def. by West Coast 19. 13. (127)

ROUND 21 (Subiaco)
West Coast 21. 17. (143) def. Melbourne 14. 7. (91)

Derby may be tough, but we are improving every week and Freo have a tough draw ahead.

Ok, must have been the year before then.... :) You know what melbourne are like with their odd / even years....;)

I cant see Fremantle winning another game so I honestly think they will topple out of the 8 completely. I would like to think we can win at least 2 of our remaining 3 games to give ourselves a real shot of playing finals footy. All 3 is certainly possible, we are at home and we are in good form.

I'm really excited, yesterday was so good!

We really cannot afford to drop our guard against Carlton or Melbourne, these two games are vital. We cannot be complacent and we need to treat them as if they are Brisbane.

As for the Derby, each year they keep getting bigger and bigger - I wont be at the derby, first time in ages, I'll be in rottnest, maybe watching it at the pub, will be a strange feeling not being there. It better be live.

It looks like Wooshas coaching and training techniques are paying off and our young players are really impressing - it should be a bright future. :)

I'm getting tickets to the West Coast vs Melbourne match regardless. They go on sale next Monday. The AFL site has us winning the next 3 and finishing 6th too :)
