Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
Haha, come on now, you don't really believe that do you?
Could see Port winning their showdown (actually, very unlikely, but you never know), Melbourne and Suns. They will come close to matching our % if we lose the rest of our games and they win those three. So Port are still with a shot. Same with Saints... if they beat Sydney at Etihad they will take our spot also (if they do they deserve it, having beaten Geelong, Dogs and Sydney to make it). Got a feeling North will beat Dogs next week and GWS in the last round so they will finish ahead of us imo. To be honest we are in the box seat for 8th, win the derby and we cant be pipped really (lose it and we might be), but not like we're going to win a final, will be like the early 2000s where we will get smacked away. Dont really care if we make it or not now tbh.
lolI think we will beat Hawks at home ....which will frustrate us even more
They aren't travelling well
The crows and Gws will be 10 goal plus spankings.

was just thinking with this year being another wasted chance at a premiership its looking more like we blew it I think with this list.
Last year was our chance, next year GWS will likely take over as the powerhouse. It really needed to be 15/16 our premiership window destiny before the GWS jugganaut comes into town.
Its not going to happen with this list and Kennedy is reaching 30 soon.
Hope like hell he plays for another 5 years or we might have missed our window.
have no idea how our midfield can even come close to GWS this year let alone the next 5-6 years.

our form this year is worse than 2014. At least late in the season in 2014 we started to show improvement - not like this year as we have got worse the longer the season goes. Almost wish that we would miss out on the finals as we could get embarrassed. Teams that make the 8 should go into the finals with good form.Power's run home:
Swans away - LOSS
Dees at home - 50/50
Crows - LOSS
Suns away - 50/50
Highly unlikely they'll win more than 2 of those. Right now they're playing like we were in 2014. A level above everyone outside the 8, but not good enough against the finals bound teams.
Saints are 3 games and 40% behind us so them making the finals is bordering on being mathematically impossible now.
We will limp into the finals, and get belted away by either the Bulldogs, Adelaide or Geelong.
Yep, aside from wallpapering over the deficiencies of the other mids with his ruck work, his tackling and contested hands are better than most of them.Hopefully, I actually think we're missing his 2nd and 3rd efforts around stoppages as much, if not more than his ruck work.
Considering we play Hawthorn in the penultimate round of the season I can see the Hawks resting a lot of guys. They have Melbourne and North in the next two games. If they win both which is likely they will have two games left and be two games clear on top of the ladder.
They have Collingwood in the final game of the season at the MCG. Those boys will be on holiday by then. So the likely game to drop would be WC at Subi. They surely rest a lot of players and save some of their veterans the long trip to Perth which might allow us to get over the line.
Perhaps, I'm sure the blokes in charge would realise what Hawthorn were doing and if they travel over here without guys like Mitchell, Gibson, Hodge, Gunston etc etc then surely it wont be used as an excuse to keep the status quo as everyone will be able to see it for what it was. Hawthorn resting important players ahead of a premiership tilt. From a team progress/rebuld POV, a win would be counterproductive because people will use that as an excuse for keeping the status quo.

Eliminated by Melbourne, that's embarrassingFinals started two weeks ago.
For the record, we were eliminated.
It's so depressing that this is true. He's a bloody ruckman with apparently no footy brain but he's is infinitely less fumbly than the rest of our team in tight.Yep, aside from wallpapering over the deficiencies of the other mids with his ruck work, his tackling and contested hands are better than most of them.
thats all stakes had to do in the close of 05 and he had an open goalSo frustrating
Can't pick up the bloody ball ffs
I think the few players who have been carrying our side this year have got fed up! Simmo has been too hesitant in dropping players whose numbers have not been up to speed. Could be a bit of resentment starting to sneak in amongst some of the players?I kind of like the fact we have a hard last three rounds. Tired of playing all these shit teams. If we are going to get found out lets see them get smashed to a quality team and try to wriggle out of it then. Plus I feel like for the last three weeks given how bad we are at the moment the only way we could go is up, we all know we're playing shit but be good for a surprise solid performance in one or two of those last three.
