Just back from spending 3 hours at the Ticketek agency in the Port Adelaide Mall and WOO HOO because we got the tickets we wanted at the front of the top deck of the Western Stand which I presumed is only available to Essential Power and Adelaide Oval members AND it definitely is reserved seating in the Western Stand (for those who are unsure) - the funny thing is that the entire concourse (middle level) of the Western Stand was either already booked out or unavailable from what I overheard someone saying.
There were massive complaints about ground level seats in the Eastern Stand being already booked out or entire bays unavailable (probably reserved for Richmond fans) and someone I know who was 15th in line and got served about 9-40am could not get a ground level seat in the Eastern Stand and had to choose ground level of the Riverbank Stand - incredible - it must be selling out so fast - I witnessed old ladies who looked to be in their early 70s being offered seats high up in the Eastern or Riverbank Stands and after saying "no that is too high up and steep for me at my age' the girl processing the tickets then found lower seats for them. .

It may be that the Port member allocation is sold out and any that go on sale after are the unsold Richmond allocation

I heard Patrick Keane yesterday saying they were going to give Richmond about 10000 seats to start with and see how the sales go, and expand it or take some back if they don't sell them. Sounds pretty crap if they have got all the best seats in the BD area tho.

I too got screwed by Ticketek and AFL. I have 6 Black Diamond tickets that amount to sweet FA as I could only get single tickets in CAT 1 and only a max of 2 in CAT 2. What's the point of paying big money for a membership if 3 game pass members have the same priority as BD member!

They don't put up the full amount of tickets available at 9.00am anyway.
Let's say there are 48,000 for sale (the rest corporates/packages etc). They won't put 48,000 up for sale at 9.00am.

Same ticketek rubbish as with the Boss and other concerts pj. I reckon there will be great seats freed up later today just like at concerts, and particularly if they have set aside 10k for Richmond supporters and some of the best Aisles in their allocation. Richmond will only have 6-7k supporters because its a Sunday game. A Saturday game and I could see more coming over.
Yep. That's how these ticket companies roll, mate. They're not looking out for the average punter that's for sure.
You'll be even more pissed when Gumtree and Ebay have hundreds of seats within the next few hours, all at a significant premium.
