Can't believe we're a few days away from playing and we still don't know whether we're taking on Melbourne, GWS or North.

North wouldn't even know whether they're still playing in Melbourne.

Has there been ANY word from AFL house about AFLW this week? Feels like complete radio silence.

That is absolute bullshit.

How unfair for those teams that are still in contention...
Pretty sure the alternative is that the season is cut short with no result. It must be incredibly hard for all the part time footballers to stay away from all sources of contagion. Will be impossible within a few days, especially in Sydney and Melbourne.

Has it been confirmed that there is another 2 weeks to run?

Could be Freo v GWS and North v Carlton
Or, could be straight to the grandy Freo v North.
I think Morris tends to be on the money on these announcements. So Prelim, and the only one that's been talked about is the usual format. Which is Freo vs GWS and North vs Carlton, as opposed to Freo vs Carlton and North vs GWS.

Given R2 of the AFL is not yet confirmed there's still significant risk that this finals format leaves us without a result.

We're not making it 5 weeks with Covid19 around.

Interesting, i am the admin of the Suns women's facebook group and that post has been reported by 5 people who are all players.

Maybe this is incorrect?

Suns reckon they are in the finals surely not? Seems they are ridiculously going with 8 team final

where’s the advantage for the teams finishing top?
North and freo in the original finals series were going to play 1 less final and have a bye the first week of finals

you would assume that stays as is

I don't see how it could for an 8 team series. Which is really annoying; the genuine advantage in finishing first in a conference was the best thing about the system.

Guess it will be like the men’s format qualifying finals between the top 4 and elimination finals between the bottom 4

so the bye will only come into play by winning the qualifier andthose played at the home grounds of north and freo
