Ah yes. But what about those that picked Rooke to kick last goalIt still pains me. I had money on Chappy to kick the last goal

Obvious one for me would be Menzel. He is made for finals footy. Was ready to explode in 2011 QF, this time he'll finish the match & will be the Player of the Finals. I'm predicting if we make the GF then Menz will kick 13-14+ goals for the final series (yes even if we win the QF & go straight to the Prelim).
One from left side would be Cockatoo. Because obviously he has to be picked first, he would have to be our first emergency at the moment & I'm sure Scott is trying his best to fit him in the 22 at the moment. We've been saying that very soon Cocky will break a game open & it could be this finals series, if picked then playing on the MCG gives him the best chance of going berserk with space for line-breaking runs + running goals, and we already know he'll tackle very hard which is great!
(Btw if we ever come up vs Swans this finals series would love Cockatoo to chase down Rohan, or run away from Rohan just like Jetta/Rioli in 2012 except even better because I think that Cockatoo/Rohan are the 2 fastest players in the AFL).

Yeah, Menzel and Menegola for mine. It'd also be great to see Guthrie rip it apart, but I just don't think that we've got the numbers down back at the moment to release him into the midfield.Obvious one for me would be Menzel. I'll put my vote in for Caddy.
As this game is getting closer, got a feeling he's going to have a big (top 3 for Geelong) influence on the first final.
Want to see McCarthy get reward for effort , cut loose and kick 4 in a quarter to break the game open

Motlop generally doesn't enjoy those kind of high-intensity limited-space games, but my God it would make a massive difference if he could get up and running through finals.
That said, Sam seemed to like footy in general last year with SubiacoSam seems to like Finals as seen from last year with Subiaco :
Disposals Marks Goals Behinds Tackles
Semi Final 28 4 2 0 5
Grand Final 30 4 1 1 4

Would this week just hurry up and bloody finish, I am sick of overthinking this gameSam seems to like football this year with Geelong.
Having a history at Hawthorn, might fly under the radar a bit, with a point to prove on Friday
There's another bloke at Geelong that may take issue with that statement![]()
Which one, Danger or Stanley?
I'm calling this 1 from 1 so farHawk is my finals wildcard
2009 a young Hawk kicked a couple of crucial goals (as dubious as one was)
2011 he had a huge finals series, was great every game
2014 he almost singlehandedly got us over the line against North exploding in the last quarter
He kicked a bag against the Dees and will be feeling great about life in general of late... look out
The big man could carry us to a flag![]()

Huge game/effort from the big fella
, you didn't put your neck on the line
.I'm ok with thatA pick for Hawkins is a cowards pick, everyone knows he's a gun and our most important player, you didn't put your neck on the line
.
McCarthy on the other hand, we were a different team after that left foot snap.
He was bloody good tonight Tommy.I'm calling this 1 from 1 so far

Happy with this..Guthrie showed against Adelaide how good he can be. Illness struck and only in the last fortnight has he seemed to get back a little of his mojo. With Dangerwood and now Menegola grabbing the headlines, SSelwood in to play his role, Caddy back better than before, Mots lifting and Duncan /Blicavs slowly working back into some form I feel this could be Cam's time to shine.
Whether off half back, through the middle or finding space forward of centre and hitting the scoreboard to me he's critical to our success, can see him flying under the oppositions radar and doing some serious damage in the next month.
