Duncan is usually a good kick but there have been some absolute shockers this year. Remember Round 13?

Did anyone else see the news that B Smedts had withdrawn from the twos yesterday and here a voice deep within them say 'finals smokey' followed by an ominous cymbal crash?

Stanley. Then perhaps Caddy. At the right time of his career and his attributes, skills and body type are built for finals.

Guthrie showed against Adelaide how good he can be. Illness struck and only in the last fortnight has he seemed to get back a little of his mojo. With Dangerwood and now Menegola grabbing the headlines, SSelwood in to play his role, Caddy back better than before, Mots lifting and Duncan /Blicavs slowly working back into some form I feel this could be Cam's time to shine.

Whether off half back, through the middle or finding space forward of centre and hitting the scoreboard to me he's critical to our success, can see him flying under the oppositions radar and doing some serious damage in the next month.

Scooter. Playing a shutdown role against the best opposition midfielders. He may be very important to our midfield setup.

Maybe Blitz.

He owes a few Poo and Wees from some previous encounters. Pretty sure Ceglar, Hill and one or two other have given him the beans - well Ceglar an eblow to the jaw that dropped him and Hill the run around.

Its is time to return fire. And his form is rising after a steady but quieter year.

McEvoy will be busy with Smith and Stanley.

Gibson, Chip and co looking after Tommy, Menz, resting ruck and Linc.

I guess the point is there is not a direct natch up for Blitz. Lets hope he finds that niche and exploits it.

Buzza to come in! Will crash packs and kick 7. Most intimidating player in Australia.

Kick a goal after the siren to make the bookies happy?

That was amazing that - the betting agencies were very happy with Max actually delirious - he made them in the 100s of thousands

Most of them had the same deal going - in that if you backed the loser and the margin was a goal or less you got your money back - so if Max had thrown the ball in the air with joy ( which he could have ) - it would have been a disaster for the bookies - they would have paid out on anyone who backed Geelong - and refunded all the bets on StKilda to win

I heard one of them interviewed - and he was so happy/grateful what Rooke did

It still pains me. I had money on Chappy to kick the last goal

Finals wildcard could well possibly be the one who has been there before and done it all - Jimmeh 'The Wolf Man' Bartel.

In possibly his last go-around, these next few weeks are just geared for Jimmeh to stand-up when the moment counts, take those grabs, pass-off under pressure into open space, find himself 35 out on the boundary and snag it then wander down to HB and lay the tackle.

His smarts and experience will make a difference.

Especially this Friday, where the long-sleeves are most likely getting ironed as we speak.

Wet weather specialist might get to round off his career with the new Ayres Medal, whilst Danger takes the Brownlow and Selwood takes the Normie while we win the flag ;)
