For anyone looking to join a dynasty league, a spot has opened up in the Jailhouse League.
We're going into our 5th season and have a good bunch of guys involved and it's generally pretty competitive.
The available team though has been a bit neglected over the past year or so as the old manager has slowly drifted away.
It's probably going to be a long rebuild so looking for someone to take over long term and get the team back on track.
There are some nice pieces to build around, 3 young QBs (It's a 2qb league) some quality RBs and a smattering of talent at WR. There's a lack of depth though after that but nothing a clever GM can't overcome.
Let me know if this interests you and we'll get you up and running.
Draft is due to start in the next week or so.

#1 ... Chris Carson, bad neck injury, Seahawks ran him into the glue factory, I knew they'd replace him, got rid of him last year, Seahawks drafted Walker so Tho, I drafted Justyn Ross so but maybe 
#2 ... You know I have that theory of mine which I'm

#3 ... Yeah, I don't care about pre-season games, big stats aren't indicative, but I do like to see the games to just assess how the rookies look in action.
#4 ... I'm 50:50 on talent vs situation, but talent is still very key, because everyone in the NFL is uber-talented, so talent rises eventually if they have the work ethic
#5 ... Regression. Well for something like say Darius Slayton. You can see the FO draft and acquire players that push/replace them, so you do have to consider if the writing is on the wall or not. But stat regression yeah naturally WR1 is WR1, the yards etc changes every year.
#6 ... Stats/analytics is a complex debate. I tend to use some things and ignore other things. Another 50:50 for me.

tbf I think Nick was mainly referring to redraft leagues with a lot of his points.
He did say you can still draft on talent winning out in dynasty when there are negative early reports.

If he did a dynasty version of this his big #1 should be ... Dont trade star players for high draft picks so you can get off on drafting the big hype when a lot of rookies struggle or completely bust. I made this mistake often in the past in alpha (a little in empire).
Trading future picks for current picks isn't necessarily bad, long as you hold onto your best players when you do luck out. Don't keep churning them over for new high picks and hoping the new ones come good. Like what's the point in all that anyway, finding a stud rookie only to trade him 1-2 yrs later, the idea of dynasty is to build a team that stands the test of time.
Also, if you do have high picks don't reach and waste those picks. Be a calculating astute drafter, BPA.
All three of those errors I've committed many times many years in the past.
