Second season ever playing footie, after rugby backround.
Last yr had really sore fingers. One or 2 got bent backwards trying to catch a bad pass and they were at me all year. It was damn sore. Just played through it til the adrenaline made me forget. Straight after the game it was agony for days until the next gane.

So I wanna toughen up my hands and fingers. Any advice? I clean upto 90kg for reps, do dumbell walks, chin ups. Starting doing finger tip burpees.
Anything else?

Anything that involves gripping will help reduce the risk.
If you catch a pass directly on the end of the finger though not much you can do about it as there’s only ligaments that support the joints of the fingers in the direction, not muscle.
