This week would be tiebreaker round for the Ligue Mondiale, but it's not required. The only tie that affects finals is Colorado vs Columbus, and they finished 6th and 7th and are playing eachother anyway. Both will wear home kits to keep it fair.

Given that, we'll jump straight into Ligue Mondiale finals action!

Seeing as my disappointing FIRA campaign has come to an end, I'm just after some feedback on my work.

I was hoping these kits would pull me through for more than 2 wins, but that's not the case. Nonetheless, I was happy with my work and still am.

Anyway, if people could please give me some feedback on the following, I would be very grateful :)
- Favorite kit:
- Worst kit:
- Colours:
- Logo:
- What I've done well:
- What I need to do better:

Without feedback I wouldn't be able to learn from my mistakes and get better, which in the grand scheme of things is what these fun competitions are all about :)

Will do feedback for everyone else too.

Anyway, if people could please give me some feedback on the following, I would be very grateful :)
- Favorite kit: Location kit, the combination of the colours on that kit were great
- Worst kit: I don't really have a "worse kit", but I think the home was a little weaker compared to the others. Did you try having the stripes above the sash?
- Colours: Great colours
- Logo: Great logo, shame there wasn't a logo round!
- What I've done well: Shading on the template looks perfect
- What I need to do better: The curvature from the cuffs to the bottom of the template.
My opinions on your designs, mate. I hope this is what you want :thumbsu:

As the bottom placed side, I would also like to ask for feedback on my design, using Greater Gattsby 's survey thing. But before I do, I want to clarify that everyone knows what a Taiga is:

Taiga
Also known as boreal forest or snowforest, is a biome characterized by coniferous forests consisting mostly of pines, spruces and larches. The sides of the logo and the sidepanels represent trees and the white outline represents the snow on top of them, being in Siberia.
I was hoping the Taiga-Tiger thing would get me some bonus points, not to be.. (There are watermarked stripes on the shoulders of the home and clash) :p
Can I also ask for template feedback, just in case that's the problem?
Thanks!

I've always wondered why after designs have been submitted for comps that there wasn't something akin to a "big reveal" by each of the contestants and a bit of a backstory behind the designs/colours/names before the competition gets under way. I think it would help voters to get a better sense of the meaning behind each design and would add another layer to the thought process of voting. This is perfectly illustrated by Andonis1997's designs. I liked them, but didn't really get them and would often vote for another, more "obvious" design. Knowing what I know now, I wish I had voted for them more often.

Great idea.

I guess I'd be happy with this idea afte the deadline. Obviously before that we need to protect trade secrets ;)

Maybe for this year's NAFL we could have a big reveal week in the lead up, featuring a couple of teams a day. People could do a little write up or whatever they want to reveal their kits

Greater Gattsby

- Favorite kit: Love the 9/11 tribute. Very classy.
- Worst kit: Don't like using the word "worst", but I just found the home kit slightly unbalanced.
- Colours: Great! Suit NYC well I think.
- Logo: Only thing I don't really like is the font but thats probably more just personal taste.
- What I've done well: Brand continuity across the kits.
- What I need to do better: It's been mentioned to you before but the template is just too out of whack. I get that you traced a "flat" jumper, but realistically it doesn't look like that when worn and the shadowing to give it the "realistic" look clashes with the flat premise.

Andonis1997

- Favorite kit: Home. Now that I understand the meaning of it all, I think its very well done!
- Worst kit: Not an individual kit but I think the Tiger stripes might have worked against you. I noticed them, but it made me think Taiga was Tiger in another language, and it meant the rest of your set made no real sense to me.
- Colours: I liked them. A light colour as your main was bold but suits your theme.
- Logo: Really well polished and executed!
- What I've done well: Translated a slightly unusual monkier into a well thought out kit design.
- What I need to do better: Make the number follow the angle of the jumper. Its perfectly straight at the top but your kit curves off to one side. I quite like your template other than that though.

Absolutely must be after all kits are in. Competition runner would have to make sure no sneaky edits are made by anyone. But I really think this would be beneficial for everyone.

Greater Gattsby
- Favorite kit: 9/11 kit looks classy and it's probably my favourite but they're all close
- Worst kit: I don't know. Maybe the location but I'm not sure.
- Colours: Black and gold go well together so no differences here
- Logo: I really like it. Maybe the font could be changed.
- What I've done well: Just about everything
- What I need to do better: The template probably could have gone without shading since it was traced flat.

Without feedback I wouldn't be able to learn from my mistakes and get better, which in the grand scheme of things is what these fun competitions are all about :)

- Favorite kit: Probably your clash. The silver sets off the gold sash really nicely
- Worst kit: Home. It's interesting, but it's a fairly basic combination of a sash and stripes. It's not bad, but it's a tough comp
- Colours: Fine. People vote for darker shades, so it certainly wasn't your colours that cost you, as it was with say, Dylan and Ando
- Logo: Don't like the font at all, other wise nice.
- What I've done well: I actually quite like your template. It's unique and interesting. However I see it hasn't gotten a lot of love because of the unusual shape. Maybe tone that down a little bit and thicken up the body in relation to the shoulders and cuffs. It doesn't really evoke a guernsey lying flat or a player at the moment.
- What I need to do better: For more votes? Fix your template. For better designs? Go a bit more creative than combining the two most commonly known guernsey designs. Also lose the old English font. I know what you were going for with the knights, but it doesn't look good on a sports design.

Looks like this'll be the end of my cannons, had a patch where i thought i could pull one out of my arse and win it, but it wasn't to be.
Personally, I'm pretty proud, this being my first proper comp, and getting deep into the season. With that said, i can easily see room for improvement, design-wise and finishing it off with stitching and the use of the elastic on my socks, use of logos, etc.
I'd also like to point out that there is not a single clipping mask in these, ****ing looney toons I am.

I'd like a little feedback from you guys, similar to Greater Gattsby's feedback, would be handy.

- Favorite kit: Home. Nice design and nice colours
- Worst kit: Maybe the clash because mainly orange looks a bit weird
- Colours: Good colours but just been seen a fair bit (GWS)
- What I've done well: Template is nice and you've improved it further which is brilliant
- What I need to do better: Clipping masks. Oh and just about all of the kits are more or less the same, Ya know. Since you've improved since these designs, I can't wait to see the next season designs.

NM_Mitchell
- Favorite kit: Location, for sure. Followed by the clash. :thumbsu:
- Worst kit: Can't really come to that conclusion as the others were very similar.
- Colours: Great colour combination, no grievances there.
- What I've done well: Your template, choosing a solid colour combination.
- What I need to do better: More variety in the kits, perhaps?

I wanted a continuous brand across all the kits, similar to Port, but I can see the issue with this, and how it could have been done better.

I'd also like to announce that the Cannons will be relocating to the United Kingdom for the next edition of the FIRA looking to improve on a disappointing end to an overall enjoyable and successful season

- Favorite kit: Location
- Worst kit: The other three, too similar to split really.
- Colours: Fine
- What I've done well: Template, and that's even better now.
- What I need to do better: Be more creative. Simple designs are fine, but they aren't interesting enough to do really well in a competition like this. Obviously you've now got a template that can take you a long way, you just need to do some things with it that we haven't seen before. I know people on this board very frustratingly vote for classic footy designs in design competitions, but it's so much more interesting and rewarding to break your own ground. You've got the skills now where you should step up and turning into a 1st division guy. Make sure you follow through with that.

Also the number doesn't look good. Stop using the AFL font for non-AFL related entries, and use a footy number, not 64. It doesn't sit naturally on the guernsey.

I am going to do the same as Greater Gattsby and NM_Mitchell

Stoke City, these where a last minute design and where one of my first ever illustrator designs.

Easy stuff to fix up:
save as PNG
use clipping masks
remove unnecessary strokes
straighten stuff

It's early days in the Prelims but I don't think I'll be making a comeback so I'm going to join the feedback trend. I'm pretty proud of my efforts after I soured on my designs throughout the season. Also, I managed to finish 4th in the H&A season, same as my Devonport Spirit did in the NAFL Reserves. Somewhat pointless, but an interesting coincidence.

Anyway, here's my kits and all that:

- Favorite kit: The national, it'd be interesting to see if there were 3 or more white hoops so you could have the red stripe weave between them.
- Worst kit: The other two are quite similar, but I'd say the home. I like how the triangles in the clash have alternating colours.
- Colours: I like the blue, but maybe using the red from the national for all the designs would have helped the triangles pop more.
- What I've done well: Come up with a unique design, with some work it could look pretty good.
- What I need to do better: The triangles just look a bit random, maybe having some more even and consistent spacing and sizing. The British Airways logo should probably be in a box or something, it looks a little messy just placed on top. The FIRA logo seems to have an unnecessary box around it, that might have something to do with AI that I don't know about that. The shorts sponsor could be shifted to closer to the side and the AFL logos in the number should be avoided. I guess they're apart of the AFL font though, but as has been said a lot in this thread the AFL number font should be avoided.

With some work the Snakes could do pretty well next season though.

Favourite kit: sister club
Least favourite kit: Probably the home kit. As el_scorcho would say it looks good but its a bit boring for a competition.
Colours: Good combination
Logo: Looks good. Could fix the mouth and add some shading.
What I've done well: You've been able to make all of your kits fit into the brand you've created. The good quality template helps this.
What should I have done better/How could I improve: Fix logo, socks on the template and have a more creative home strip.
